Avalanche, Huskies, and $15,000 Income
Bob stood by the window of a cozy cabin in Finland, gazing at the snowy landscapes. This was his first real trip abroad, and he couldn’t be prouder: the vacation was paid for with the earnings from his platform. Next to him, wrapped in a warm blanket, was his girlfriend Lena.
“Tomorrow, dog sledding!” she said with sparkling eyes.
“Absolutely,” Bob smiled. “No computers, just nature and adrenaline.”
The next day, they climbed into a sled pulled by six eager huskies. The dogs bolted forward, carrying them across a pristine white wonderland. Frost-covered forest trails stretched ahead, looking like a scene from a fairy tale.
“Faster, boys!” Lena cheered the dogs on.
But the fairy tale quickly turned into a thriller. As they climbed a winding mountain path, the sky darkened. A deep rumble echoed through the valley, like the earth itself was growling. Lena turned to Bob:
“Is that… an avalanche?”
Bob looked up. In the distance, he saw a massive wave of snow breaking free, hurtling down the mountainside like a giant magic carpet.
“Go faster!” he yelled, urging the dogs onward.
The huskies seemed to sense the danger, dashing forward with renewed energy. The trail led them toward a narrow icy tunnel adorned with icicles. The roaring snowstorm behind them was relentless.
“Bob, it’s too narrow!” Lena shouted.
“We have no choice!” he shouted back, gripping the sled tightly.
They entered the tunnel. A crystalline forest of icicles hanging from the ceiling sparkled like diamonds in the dim light. But there was no time to admire the view. Bob ducked to avoid a low-hanging icicle that nearly brushed his hat.
Lena let out a cry as one of the dogs slipped, but the sled held steady. Outside, the avalanche devoured the trail they had just crossed.
When the tunnel ended, the dogs burst into an open clearing. They didn’t stop until everything behind them went silent. Looking back, Bob saw a snowfield where the trail once was.
“We made it!” Lena threw her arms around him.
Back at the cabin, Bob pulled out his phone to share their adventure with friends. But instead, he saw a stream of notifications: $9,876 had just landed in his account.
“Looks like my business doesn’t take vacations either,” he said, laughing.
Lena grinned.
“So, are we going to the Alps next?”
Bob and Lena were still recovering from the terror they’d just experienced. They sat by the fireplace, wrapped in blankets, sipping hot tea with raspberry jam, kindly prepared by the cabin owner.
“Do you realize that was a real avalanche?” Lena asked, her voice still shaky.
“Yes, and I never want to see one again,” Bob replied.
They sat in silence, listening to the crackling fire. It felt like the whole world had paused with them. Only the huskies snoozed peacefully by the door, as if nothing had happened.
“You know,” Lena said, staring thoughtfully into the flames, “if you hadn’t believed in yourself and started that business, we wouldn’t be here. Or rather, we’d be somewhere, but probably not in Finland.”
Bob chuckled.
“Yeah, but tell that to my credit card when I was putting my last $300 into ads.”
Lena laughed.
“Have you checked your phone? What else has come through?”
“Look at this!” Bob showed her his phone. “It looks like our vacation has more than paid for itself.”
The next day, they decided to continue their adventure, but with less danger. Bob booked a snowshoeing tour to explore the mountains in a more relaxed setting. Their guide shared stories about Finnish culture, legends of the northern lights, and even recipes for reindeer dishes.
When they returned to the cabin, Bob was already making plans for the future. Now he had money not just for travel but also to expand his business. He wanted to help others who dreamed of changing their lives but were too scared to take the first step.
“You’re going to be like a business superhero,” Lena teased.
“Without the cape,” Bob laughed.
On their way back from Finland, Bob decided to write a detailed post about his journey — how he started with nothing and reached an income that allowed him to travel without worrying about expenses.
“Maybe someone will feel inspired and take the leap,” he said to Lena.
“And if not,” she added, “at least they’ll enjoy reading about us running from an avalanche.”
Indeed, Bob realized his story wasn’t just about money. It was about believing in yourself, taking risks, and pursuing your dreams, no matter the obstacles.
