MLM Tip #7: How to Attract Red Hot Leads to Your Small Home Business
If you are reading this you are probably a small home business owner. If that is true, you probably want to know how to attract leads to you instead of chasing them down. Right?
I am here to tell you that you can do it. Not only that, you can do it without harassing friends and family, without chasing leads down, and without cold calling.
MLM Tip #7: How to Attract Red Hot Leads to Your Small Home Business
Story time! I wrote a post called 5 Ways to Travel without Busting Your Budget. I wrote this post because I thought it would be useful for people, like me, who want to travel without going broke.
Basically, I gave the reader five options they can use to travel for free or at a low cost. Four of the options were simply ways I knew a lot about and that I was comfortable writing about.
The fourth option I offered was the affordable and little known way to travel which was my business.
I wasn't salesy. I didn't flash BUY NOW! Across my screen. I simply said something like, "I recommend this travel club because it is the one that has given us the most for our money. Contact me if you are interested." That's it.
Within a couple of days of posting this I received my first red hot lead for my business. She literally wanted to sign up right then.
This is great because:
- I didn't have to cold call.
- My lead was pre-qualified.
- My lead contacted me.
- I didn't have to harass or chase anybody down.
You are probably wondering how exactly this can work in your small business. Well, let me tell you.
Here's EXACTLY What I Did.
I wrote a blog post and I led with value, the five ways to travel. I gave the pro's and cons of all options.
By informing my readers, they become less like cold traffic and more like warm market.
My readers see that I actually am trying to help them out and that getting an exclusive invite to my travel club isn't me trying to screw them over. It is me trying to help them.
I then placed a call to action at the end of my post and a link or two giving the reader information, not just for my club but for the other options too.
I kept it very neutral because all the options were good options.
Once my post was written and up, I ran a couple of Facebook ads and bought targeted traffic from Fiverr.
Neither of my advertising campaigns were more than $10. That $10 in advertising brought hundreds of viewers to my post, a couple dozen clicks on my link, and so far one red hot lead for my business. There were also a bunch of clicks for the other options in the post.
If you do not have a blog, you can guest post on someone else's blog and drive traffic there. There are other options too, like making a Youtube video and driving traffic to it. There are a lot of ways.

Where Can You Learn More?
The reason why I turned away from the traditional way of prospecting was because my success rate was low, I was frustrated, and I simply didn't like the feeling that I was harassing people.
One red hot lead might not sound like much to some hot shot marketers, but to people like me, one is a great start. Since I cracked the code here, I can simply rinse and repeat to get more leads. I will gladly spend $10 to get $100 back.
Anyway, I learned this strategy and others from my mentors over at Elite Marketing Pro. Here is a really great free resource called How to Attract Prospects While You Sleep.
