CHOOSING WHAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU!
Modern technology is incredible. Just think about the GPS (Global Positioning System) in the palm of your hands. I remember the days of a road atlas in the glove compartment of my car. We all want a map that will help guide us to our destination efficiently and a vehicle to get us there in good time and in an enjoyable way.
Your journey to financial freedom is no different. You need a map that will help you get from where you are to where you want to be. You also need a vehicle that will get you there in good time and in a way that is satisfying to you. In other words, you need to choose a home-based business that’s right for you and will get you to where you want to be.
There is so much information out there trying to get you to invest into their home-based business. So much information that you could feel your head ready to explode as you explore the opportunities. How do you protect yourself from being taken? Do your homework. Call your local Better Business Bureau and any other agency that specializes in fraud. Speak to people who have been successful in the business and have spent at least a year with the company. Ask yourself, what do I have to lose or what do I have to gain? If you’re asked to purchase a small amount of their products to join, you have little to lose. If you’re required to invest thousands of dollars, alarm bells should go off. Most important, give yourself time to think things through before investing your hard earned money and your valuable time. After all, we learned from Jim Rohn, a famous business philosopher, who said, "Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you can't get more time."
As you venture into the world of entrepreneurialism, you must face reality. There are no easy ways or short cuts to financial independence. But if you want a blueprint to get you there faster, it begins with education. You must educate yourself. There is no substitute for learning the basic skills before you take the next step toward the attainment of your goal.
When you are looking, don't necessarily look for something that you love. Find something that caters to the masses and then fall in love with it.
My wish for you is that you get the proper skills to get you started on the right foot, going in the right direction so that you can build your business once and build it big to last your life, your children's life and your grandchildren's life.
