How to Choose the Best Selling Product
I'm considering various network marketing opportunities but can't decide which one is ideal for me. What role does the product have in my decision?
The most successful independent distributors have honed their ability to select the right firm with the right goods at the right moment. You've heard the expression "timing is everything"? This is especially true in business. Your ability to spot new items or trends might help you reach your financial goals faster. This is particularly vital if you want to be at the start of the lifespan of exciting, innovative, easy-to-sell items.
Of course, any corporation will boast its latest and best things. But we all know how important time is when it comes to obtaining your "shortcut" to financial freedom. In the fiercely competitive world of copycat marketers, last year's trendy item may be this year's "me too" offering. Before investing your time and money in a new firm only for the sake of a new product, ensure that the product is actually unique. Discovering too late that you have many rivals might mean the difference between a fun-filled event and hard labor.
New product conceptions and ideas must be founded on an accurate evaluation of consumer requirements, desires, and expectations. A corporation that develops new product concepts and marketing systems must appropriately position the product in order to pique the interest of its distributors. Every serious distributor wishing to "catch the wave" of a new product trend should make finding intriguing new items a top priority.
Here are the nine most important questions to ask while analyzing each product:
Does the notion that distinguishes this product meet a customer's need or satisfy a desire?
Will the buyer see genuine value in his or her purchase?
Will the buyer identify quality as he or she does national brand names?
Is the product superior in terms of performance to similar items presently on the market?
Is the new product solving an issue for the client that other goods aren't?
Is there a factor of convenience that puts the new product ahead of all similar products?
Is the product consumable, or does it provide some kind of residual income?
Are your profit margins adequate to support your efforts?
Is the firm providing you with adequate support materials and sales aids to help you with your job?
If you locate a firm with a new product that inspires you to answer the above questions with a resounding "yes," the next step is to examine the company's business strategy and support systems (see my previous columns). Knowing how to ask the appropriate questions is the most critical step in obtaining the information you need to make sound business decisions.
