Why Are You Starting a Business?

Most people look for an opportunity to make money but don't know why? I mean just to make money is not enough motivation to stay in business. Making money is like having a key to a car but you don't have a car. So where do you think you are driving to and in what will you be driving.  I'm always talking the philosophy of things in the Network Marketing Business. Not so much about the various businesses I'm involved with. Just like when I was introduced to a company back in September of 1999. I wanted to make money sure but "Why" for what reason. Most of my training was about Why not What. What was the money but Why was the motivation.  Most people keep selling their business plan and I am one of them also. But what I found out is that no matter how great a plan you have if people are not in for the Why then they don't stay in business. Average everyday people don't have this concept. They look for a quick fix to their financial issues and if there is not instant gratification they move on to the next opportunity. Like myself I was shown the plan over and over again. But the core of my training was about my WHY. My Why is what kept me motivated in the difficulty times of building my business. It was not the business or the plan but the Why. My sponsors and       mentors taught me to write a list of 20 things money would do for me. As net workers and coaches we need to get back to the fundamentals of business building by goal setting.  I believe if you build your self while in a business then you will build the income and then the income will continue to build up.  Ever wonder why successful people such motivational speakers Anthony Robbins, Les Brown,  Jim Rohn, etc never really talk about money or business opportunities because they understood self development and purpose. I remember reading books like Rich Dad Poor Dad or Cash Flow Quadrant by Robert Kyosaki or The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson to name a few. If someone is looking to make money that's great join my business follow the steps. If you want to stay in business develop your "Why" not the "What" and learn to focus on it and the money will start to follow you and want to be with you it's needs a purpose it needs a Why. That's what I've been taught and that's what I believe!
