The Excitement Of being a Home Business Entrepreneur
Hi, my name is Michael Sweitzer, and I'm an author, coach and a home business entrepreneur. Over the last twenty years of my life, I've endeavored to build a life that enabled me to forgo the 40/40/40 life. For those unfamiliar with what I mean by the 40/40/40, its a shortened definition of working 40 hours for the next 40 years to live off of 40% of ones earnings at retirement. Instead, I chose to build a residual passive income business.... two of them in fact. However, it wasn't an easy climb to the top. Back in 2008 when the bank crash reared it's ugly head, I was not one of the lucky ones. Did I weather through it? I did, but with a great deal of pain. Prior to 2008, things were amazing and life was good. Just a few years before that I made my first $1 million dollars. It was one of my greatest accomplishments but a great deal of work to achieve. And that's what success takes. It's putting down the remote control and planting your feet on the ground and working your butt off. Something I was never afraid to do.
So where did I make my first Million? It was during my commercial real estate career and a private closed door deal that took over a year to finalize. I represented the buyer in a $230,000,000 million dollar hotel/resort acquisition. By the way I still love the commercial real estate sector and It's something I'm presently involved in. However, it's not my primary passion.
When I was 18 I found myself very engaged in business development and exploring entrepreneurism. So I got my feet wet in Network Marketing or better known as Multi-Level-Marketing back then. Ever since, I've discovered that it's still the most amazing way to create wealth next to real estate. And for me, it's a passion. I enjoy the opportunity to speak with people every single day, and show them what they can do, and what they can accomplish if they put in the time and never, ever give up.
