3 C's of Prospecting Success With MLM Gateway
MLM Gateway is a wonderful place to get free leads, establish new partnerships, and expand your network marketing business if you use it properly. Here are my 3 "C's" for prospecting success, not only here on MLM Gateway, but on any social media site.
CONNECT
To build any internet network marketing business, you must learn how and be willing to connect with others. You can proactively send connection requests to other members using credits, or you can accept connection requests being sent to you by other members. Either way, connecting with others is the first step and most important thing to do to get started.
On MLM Gateway you will find 3 kinds of network marketers: 1) Active members looking for new customers and recruits for their business, 2) Registered members who are no longer active in network marketing, and 3) Members who are actively seeking and looking for new business opportunities.
Before blasting all of them with your opportunity and links, take the time to find out which category the prospect fits into by asking questions first. Your approach (and questions) will be different for each type of member. Ideally, your best prospects will be those that fit into categories 2 and 3 and finding these type of members first will be a key to success on this platform. Building a relationship with those in category 1 can produce long-term results for you down the road.
COMMUNICATE
This may seem obvious, but most members in MLM Gateway aren't doing it. Here's the tip: When you receive a message or connection request, RESPOND TO IT! It amazes me how many requests and messages are not responded to. How can expect to have success on this platform if you aren't willing to talk with and communicate with others? Don't be afraid of talking with others or being recruited by others. You have to be willing to talk to people and communicate with people in order to be successful in the network marketing industry. Think about building a relationship first, and then the customers and recruits with follow.
Start the communication process by asking simple questions. Learn more about your new connection BEFORE you present YOUR opportunity. When show interest in them, they'll become more interested in you and what you have to offer. Plus, they will be more open because you aren't trying to recruit them right out of the gate.
Here are some key things you want to find out after connecting with new associates.
First of all, find out about their background and experience. Look for some common ground to start the conversation and begin developing some rapport. Determine which category they fit into so you know which approach to take. If you are open to taking a look at their opportunity, do so! That way, when you invite them to take a look at your opportunity they will be more open to it. If the opportunity isn't for you, simply say that you probably aren't a good prospect for them, at this time, but let them know you'll keep it in mind.
They best way to learn about others is through asking questions. Learn to ask great questions and get them talking about themselves and their opportunity. Find out how long they have been in business and if they are doing it part-time or full-time. Learn about their previous success (and failures) and find out how they are doing right now. Look for ways that you can add value or help them in some way. Most will say they are doing well, but in reality, they really aren't. If you can show them a better way, oftentimes they will take it!
Finally, wait for them to ask you about your company first before you send your product or opportunity links to them. When they ask for it they will be more open to looking and you'll know that you have a real prospect on your hands. This works much better than randomly sending your opportunity links to everyone you meet and connect with.
CLOSE
Once you have had a new prospect take a look at your opportunity, now it is time to close. Always use one of your company tools to present your opportunity. Timing is everything and you'll want to follow up with them while the information is still fresh in their minds.
It's your job to see if your opportunity is right for them. You are not in a convincing business, your are in a sorting and listening business. When you are ready to ask for the order and close the sale -- Be positive and assume the sale! Act as if they are ready to get started and you'll be amazed at how many will. If they aren't ready, they will let you know.
Deal with questions and objections and look at them as stepping stones to making the sale. The questions they ask and the more objections they make, the better. This usually shows that they are interested, but just need help making the decision.
Here is a simple 5-step closing process that really works -- Simply ASK!
1- What do you like about the business?
2- Do you have any questions?
3- Do you understand how you make money?
4- Do you see an opportunity for yourself here?
5- When would you like to get started?
Wait for their answers. If you speak before your prospect answers, especially with questions 4 and 5, you'll lose the sale. Silence is golden! You win the sales game when you are comfortable in silence, waiting for them to answer.
Well, that's it -- My 3 C's for prospecting success. It works here or on any social media platform. Let me know how they work for you by leaving a comment or question below, and I will you the best in your business!
