How I Started with Zero Network Marketing Credentials or Success
How I Started with Zero Network Marketing Credentials or Success...
...to Getting Emails about New Prospects Reaching out to Find Out More About My Business in my Inbox Every Morning
I remember asking myself, "Do I really need to write another post that nobody engages with?"
I don't know how long it lasted but when I first got started, I created content nonstop, made social media posts to promote it out, had nobody interact with it, and wondered what in the world I was doing all of this for!
Have you been there?
I mean really - who wants to write content that nobody engages with?
If this sounds familiar, be encouraged: you're going down the right road.
Because anybody who has ever built a following started out all alone - with nobody clicking the like button, commenting or sharing.
So how did they get to hundreds and thousands of followers who engage with their content at a frenzied pace?
The good news is it's possible you're probably already doing a lot right. And the even better news is, if you stay consistent with the right strategy your success is virtually guaranteed.
So let's take a look at some of the first steps you'll have to take to start priming the pump to enjoy the credibility of a leader and have people pursue you rather than the other way around.
Ask Yourself, "Am I Already Doing This?"
I remember back in 2015 I read Brian Tracy's book, Self Discipline. This book covered strategies to be successful in every aspect of a person's life.
I highlighted scores of this book because it was that awesome!
And when I was done reading it, I remember thinking that I've got life all figured out now. But I was missing something...
I thought simply reading the book was enough. What I should've done is ask myself, "if I'm not doing these things, how do I build these into my life so I start doing them?"
And I discovered something that caught me by surprise - some of the things recommended were really really hard - and totally contrary to my normal habits. Especially because I really used to love Mountain Dew!
Anytime we come across new valuable strategies the question we should ask ourselves is this: "am I already doing this?"
And if we're not doing it yet, we need to figure out a way to start doing it for to be of any value to us.
Because the real value comes from the doing - not the knowing.
I believe the quote goes something like this:
"To know and to not do is still do not know."
Be Willing to Look Like an Amateur (Temporarily)
Just before starting my work day, I take a shower. But here's the problem:
When I turn the water on initially, it takes a minute or so to get hot. So that means that if I get in the shower before the water is warm, it's going to be uncomfortable because the water is going to be cold.
I don't like being uncomfortable. Do you?
To become a rock star, you have to start the journey to get there.
And that journey is inevitably going to bring you to the first step - which means you have to change what you're doing right now.
Because it's possible what you're doing right now is not going to get to your destination.
And for anything that's brand-new, there's no way in the world you could possibly know everything there is to know before it gets here.
That means anybody who wants to step out of their current reality and into a much better future reality needs to be willing to put themselves out there and become vulnerable.
Vulnerable how? Vulnerable because you're not going to know everything - and that's scary. Vulnerable because it's possible people are going to laugh at you. Vulnerable because you're doing things other people aren't doing. And vulnerable because you're acting in faith that what you're doing now is going to get you closer to where you want to be - while everyone else is still living their boring 9 to 5 lives.
There's an old adage that says an ounce of action is worth a pound of knowledge.
Truer words were never spoken.
If you haven't already started the journey, it's time to get started regardless of what anybody else thinks.
So let me confirm your deepest fears: YES! There's going to be haters. YES! You will miss the mark in the beginning. And YES! There will be opportunities for you to feel embarrassed - if you allow yourself to.
But there is one way to never have to experience any of this - and that is to never put yourself out there, never take the first step and never be willing to become more than what you are.
But that also means things are not going to change - and you of all people are reading this right now because you are an agent of change. Are you not?
Be willing to be vulnerable and be willing to look like an amateur. The sooner you do, the faster you'll stop being paid like one!
Remember: Someone Else Already Has Done It - and that Means You Can Too
On May 6, 1954 Roger Bannister was the first person to ever run a four minute mile. Prior to him, nobody knew of anybody who had done that before.
Fast-forward to 2021. Nowadays there are kids in high school who can run a four minute mile.
What grand goals you have for yourself?
If they are in this galaxy of reality, I want you to realize: somebody has more than likely already accomplished what you want to do.
And that should thrill all of us to no end!
Why?
Because it means that what you want to do is possible. It means that just like you will do shortly yourself, somebody had to take the first step of the journey and start down the road to get those results.
And if they went down the road and they got the results, that means that if you go down a similar road, you too can get similar if not BETTER results.
It's likely that you're not the first person to want to accomplish what you're looking to do. It's also likely you're not the last person to want to accomplish what you're looking to do.
It's possible there's a lot of people who want the results that you would love to get right along with you...
It all comes down to one simple question; and the question you'll have to answer is this:
Are you going to be somebody who starts and stops - or somebody who is willing to persevere no matter what?
As we both know, I can't reap the benefits of you doing my daily exercise for me (or vice versa).
And that's why ONLY YOU can answer this question for yourself.
Knowing that somebody his already done it proves that it can be done. And that means with the right strategy and persistence - you can do it too!
1 Foot Away from Gold
In 1872 withdrew a wealthy man named James Barnhurst withdrew his entire life savings from a small bank in his hometown of Joplin, Missouri.
It was the gold rush of the West.
James went out to Wyoming and found a tract of land it was rumored had every trait of a tract of land rich in gold.
James snapped the property up as quick as he could and found a renowned metallurgist to survey the land so that he could start digging.
The metallurgist did his survey and based on the lay of the land, he told James what seemed like the best place to start digging. And dig James did.
For over 11 months James dug and dug. On days it would've been easy to throw in the towel and call it a day, he forced himself to put in a full 12 hours.
And he found nothing.
Utterly defeated, frustrated, humiliated completely drained of ambition, frustrated, and down to his last few dollars, James sold the land and mining equipment he bet everything he owned on for a fraction of what he paid for it.
He sold it to a guy named Charlie Jackson.
And Charlie did something crazy.
He hired a metallurgist who surveyed the land, and he told him to dig exactly where James' digging had left off.
In 27 minutes, Charlie dug less than 18 inches and struck the 3rd richest vein of gold in Wyoming.
Can you imagine what it must have been like to hear this news if your name was James Barnhurst?
So remember to ask yourself, "am I doing this already?" Remember it's okay to look like an amateur - because that means you're taking action and getting started.
And remember to encourage yourself with reality: somebody is already succeeded at what I'm trying to do.
And when you start waking up with a steady stream of prequalified prospects eager to know more about your business opportunity, all of the pain and struggle which is now behind you will have been worth it all.
Can I Offer you a Shortcut?
You can learn one of two ways, and both require experience.
One way is to learn from taking every hard knock yourself and figuring everything out for the first time all alone.
But the other way is to leverage somebody else's experience, and save yourself a whole multitude of knocks on the head.
