Tending To Your Garden (Principles in Success/And An Abundant Life)
A brief blurb:
I tell my church that God wants to bless his children. This includes financial blessings as well. There is a misconception that "money is the root of all evil" but this is not true. ure says "The LOVE of money is the root of all of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). I will save this message for another day though. But it is important to know this because if you think money is evil you will never attract it.
The truth is that God wants to bless His children.
Psalm 84:11 says
"No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."
So then why is it that people who are supposed to be blessed financially (or any other aspect of their lives) are obviously not? Its a fair question. It's a question that does have an answer.
In this announcement I'd like to briefly talk about tending your garden. It's an important aspect and the beginning to ensure positive manifestation occurs.
Think of your mind as soil. It's fertile and it will grow whatever is planted in it.
Proverbs 23:7 tells us
"For as he (or she) thinks in his heart, so is he "
Your inner world reflects your outer world (not the other way around). Read that again!
The seeds (ideas and conceptions) you plant in your thoughts will sprout. And whether its that you are planting a good seed like tomatoes or a bad one like nightshade your soil (thoughts) will not care they will produce what is planted in them. Translated: the things that you dwell on and allow to enter your mind are the things that will manifest in your life.
The fertilizer you apply will effect the growth of your seed (desires) and don't forget you need to water your seed too. When I think of water I think of pure.
Philippians 4:8 tells us
"Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. "
Guard your mind and only allow things that are honorable and pure and right and lovely an admirable in. Think about these things.
Romans 12:2 tells us that a renewing of the mind is necessary for any transformation. Therefore guard what goes into your mind. If I were to throw a bunch of garbage on your living room floor you wouldn't take too kindly too it. But too many people don't have a problem allowing garbage enter into our minds. This has an effect on our lives.
Anyone that has ever done any gardening knows that if you provide good fertilizer, and pure water you can't just stop there because something else will creep up--WEEDS.
And so it is with our thoughts and attitudes, weeds will crop up and if you don't do any weeding the weeds will overcrowd your garden (thought life) and it will be the weeds (the negative things) that will manifest in your life.
Weeding is a dirty job. You have to face issues head on, sometimes you have to cut the negative things/people out of your life. But if you want abundant blessings weeding is absolutely essential.
Conclusion:
All of us are either tending our garden or not.
For those that are not minding their garden guarding their mind…it is full of loss, grief, struggles.
For those that tend their garden there is victory, answered prayer, healing, abundance.
I hope this short blurb was of encouragement to you. Stay tuned for more encouragement.
