Most Network Marketers Don't REALLY Know How To Market...
Tuesday is my big day for sending out email ads to a host of safelists, viral mailers, and other free and paid promo sites. Today I sent out 348,321 email ads across 41 different ad sites... all on my team's behalf!
That sounds like a lot, but I want to remind you that these type of sites are usually characterized by very poor performance... people read and click your ads primarily so that their own ads can been seen. However, remember this... these sites are, for the most part, free.
But that's not really the purpose for this post... let me next explain how these ads work.
First of all, the pages I promote are called "optin pages" or "lead capture pages"... the sole purpose of this one page website is to create enough interest that the reader will give me their contact information.
For example, here is one of the pages I am promoting: Really Simple Sales System
When the prospect submits their contact information they are then taken to the "Thank You Page" where they can access the lead magnet, video, or whatever they were promised on the optin page. I also include a link to the presentation of my primary opportunity... by the way, don't use the word opportunity in your presentations.
The prospect also will begin to receive a series of email follow-up messages that outline the benefits of my primary business, one per day for at least 7 days... my follow-up message set includes 19 messages.
That is where the magic happens!
Instead of one chance for the prospect to either accept of reject my offer, they now have 19... plus, I can promote other offers as well as long as they remain on my list.
So why do this optin page instead of just sending them straight to the different affiliate pages?
If a lead simply clicks straight to your affiliate page, you get to present your message once. If they don't join immediately... they are just gone... FOREVER!
When you use the "optin page" and your autoresponder you get to present your message multiple times... as I said before, currently they will receive 19 messages... that's 19 opportunities to join YOUR business.
That's called "MARKETING"!
Our business model is called "network marketing", but few people involved in our industry REALLY know how to market their business.
So, what do you do if your business opportunity... or worse, your upline... tell you to make a list of 100 names... and never mention any type of real marketing strategies?
I know what I'd do... I find something else to invest my time and money into... something that will enable me to busild a REAL business model.
