 I am currently an employee and also a distributor for several companies. (it gives new meaning to multiple streams of income). My full-time job allows me to deal with pensions and retirement EVERY day. I see and speak with people who are anywhere in age from 18 to 80, who are just coming into the work force or finally going out. There's a great feeling of pride when you start a new job. And an ever better feeling of elation when you retire from it. But those are the few. There are thousands...tens of thousands employees who can't leave. They are bound by injury because if they resign who's going to house and feed them? They are chained by mediocrity... no room for advancement nor increase so they sit at the same desk day in and day out...marking off the calendar.

Now let's backtrack for a minute...Let's take a look at those who actually are able to retire.  No more 9 to 5. No more punching a clock... rain, sleet, hail, snow. And no more RAISES, OVERTIME, chances to increase your income. When you collect your pension, that's it! One check a month. ONE... Can you handle that? Most of us can't survive off the bi-weekly payments we're receiving now!

At least with this particular pension, it's guaranteed. But what about those who work for companies that don't offer a pension or retirement plan? What about the retirement plans that are based on the climate of the stock market? Let's not forget the contribution based plans...what you put in is what you get out. What if you can't put much in? What's going to happen when you're ready to retire and you've put NOTHING aside? I'll tell you what's going to happen...YOU'LL KEEP WORKING!!!

 I'm here to tell you...IF YOU DON'T PLAN YESTERDAY FOR TODAY, THERE MIGHT NOT BE A TOMORROW!
