What To Do When You Get Stuck...
Mindset Moment...
What to Do When You Hit a "Wall."
One of the biggest problems that a lot of marketers have is hitting the proverbial Wall or getting stuck...
That's why they don't make that blog post, video, FB Live, call that hot prospect, run that ad, ect...
Has this ever happened to you?
Better question is what can you do about it?
It's going to happen...
When people start to struggle they immediately think that their problem is their skill or strategy.
For example, if blogging isn't working they may start doing videos. If they get stuck in videos they may try running Facebook ads or try their hand in Instagram and so on.
The problem with this cycle is that no matter what they do it always leads to either quitting or paralysis.
So what do you do about it?
First of all realize that hitting a Wall has EVERYTHING to do with our lack of self confidence or having a poor self image...
We run the same negative story in our minds repeating it over and over...
'I can't do this'
'I'll never be any good'
'Nobody listens to me.'
'When am I going to make any money!'
At one time I suffered with this problem. I can honestly say that it was my biggest problem.
So I did what I always did, I picked up the phone and called my mentor.
She didn't give me any magic strategy or game-plan.
Instead she told me to be like a cockroach!
I was like 'excuse me...' (I'm thinking to myself that I may need to change mentors)
Anyway, she went on to explain that a cockroach never ever gets stuck.
Whenever it encounters an obstacle it finds a way to either go over, through or around it!
I got the point...
In order to accomplish what I set out to do I had to find a way through my own obstacles.
So this is what you do about it...
1. Ask for help
2. Plug in to mindset/personal development
3. Make a conscious effort to change your negative self talk (see previous announcement)
4. Stay focused on ONLY what you know how do. (the rest can come later)
Will you continue to tell yourself the same story that makes the "Wall" bigger?
Or will you find a way to go over it?
The choice is yours...
