HAVING THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE
Have you ever heard your own voice on a recording and thought, "I don't sound like that, do I?" But when you ask your friends and family members, they tell you, "Yes, that's exactly how you sound?" Or even freakier, have you ever seen yourself in a photograph and thought that something wasn't quite right? "That's not what I look like, is it?" But once again those who know you say, "Yes indeed, that’s you, alright!
What’s going on here? Here's what's happening?
The truth is, you don't hear your own voice as it sounds to others. You hear it vibrating through the bones in your head and within the spaces in your sinuses. You don’t actually know the sound of your voice until you hear a recording of it. Similarly, you don't see yourself as others see you. When you look in the mirror every day, you don’t see you, you see a reverse image of you. True, since our faces are practically symmetrical, we don’t look that much different from what we see in the mirror, but there are subtle differences. This is the reason why we may occasionally get an uneasy feeling when we see ourselves in photographs. The reality is that you don’t really know what you look like until you see yourself in a photograph or video. Freaky, right?
What's this have to do with online business?
Here’s what I’ve noticed: It’s a bit unsettling how many strong opinions are out there about how to be successful in business held by people who themselves are not successful!
If you don't even know what your own face looks like until you've seen it properly, how can you know what it's like to run an online business before you've seen it from the proper perspective?
Well of course, you can't. It's ridiculous, really. But sadly, many ‘know-it-alls’ mis-direct many potential success stories with their Neanderthal thinking. Don’t let these people steal your dreams! Don’t base your course to success on someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.
Get the real perspective.
Find an effective system to gather leads that convert. Find a proven mentor who knows the business and how to do it – someone who has a proven track record.
