MY STORY

Some said to me "Hey!!! Patrice...I seem's that all you care about now is money." - Well, that is complete BS. - I just refuse to be a blind-close-minded fan and slave of poverty, and I refuse to listen to the uneducated opinions of so-called friends and family that have no positive influence in my financial future. But hey...I'm still me. I still love my Family, Martial Arts, and Rock'n'Roll. I still love my wearing ripped jeans, my bandana and cowboy hat. I still love being a kid at heart...and I still love most of you.

I am sharing this short story with the intent that it will inspire others to take control of their lives. The change had to start with me. This is My Story.

A while back I was chatting with a good friend of mine on the phone. He was wondering why I don't tell my story about why I made the decision to get involved with Network Marketing and, also why and how I started a Part-Time Work-From-Home Business with LegalShield. The answer is really simple...I just wanted more Time, Freedom, Income, and Control. I knew that becoming my own boss and being a business owner was the only way to go. I also knew that being stuck as a paid slave in some J.O.B. for 30 years of my life only to make what someone else thought I was worth, wouldn't do anything positive for my life. It usually turns out to be a dead-end life for most. So I made the decision to not only make income because of what I do but also make income in spite of what I do. This is known or referred to as Leveraged and Residual Income, which will continue to pay out to my heirs long after I'm gone.

Back in may of 2010, I knew that I didn't want to teach Kenpo Karate for the rest of my life, and as I stated before I didn't want to work for someone who dictated my income or what I was worth. I was looking for something else, and knowing that there were lucrative opportunities out there. Around this time I had just recently moved back to London, Ontario after spending a little over three years off and on in British Columbia teaching Martial Arts. I wasn't sure what I was looking for but that didn't matter because luckily it found me first. To make a long story short...I met a woman who added me as a friend on Facebook and the next day I met and sat down with her over coffee at Tim Horton's. She showed me a simple 15-minute presentation in a flip-book. The information made 100% common sense to me...It was simple no-brainer type stuff. So I said "Awesome!!!...I'll sign up for that?"

I understood that this voluntary membership was better to have it and not need it, rather than needing it and not having it. About two weeks later. I never thought that I would run into a situation where I needed to use the services in a situation with London Hydro a couple weeks later. Well, I'm happy to say that I came out victorious. I used the services a couple more times afterward and came out on top each time.

I thought that the products and services offered by LegalShield were too good not to share with friends, family, and all other individuals and businesses. So I called the same women back and asked her if I could make a good income by sharing what she shared with me. She told me I could, so I became a LegalShield Independent Associate a couple days later in May of 2011. I have been with the company since, and it's been fantastic. I've had a few slower months where I only made about $300.00 to $500.00, but most months I have made more than what any job would have paid me, but here is one thing I should explain...I only work spare-time to part-time - 15 to 30 hours a month...and I will also add that I was only in the company for about 7 months and qualified for an all-expenses paid 5-star vacation to Maui, Hawaii with any guest I wanted to take with me. This trip would have easily cost about $5000.00 each, and we also had a $600.00 room credit on top of that. Since that point, I have never looked back. You might ask what do I do with the rest of my time? Well, I do what I want to do when I want to do it, and with whoever I want to do it with. I go where I want to go when I want to and never have to ask permission to anyone.

But it's not just about the money, the trips, the ability to receive monthly bonuses, and the journey towards financial freedom. For me, It's about the experience, the personal growth, the failures and successes, the lifestyle, and the person you become in the process along the journey.

I'm also proud of the fact that I can help individuals and families begin to achieve their own sense of achievements and success, as well as setting them on the road to financial freedom if they make the decision to...and at the same time I can be the gateway for people and businesses to have unlimited access to the legal system at a cost that everyone can afford and not have to worry about getting charged or getting a bill in the mail. I just love to know that every time I enroll a new a parent or couple who has children, I know that the future of those children will be secure because I helped their parents to make the wise decision to get their Wills and Power Of Attorney prepared or updated at no additional cost.

Just think about this for a second. Work 5 to 10 hours a week from home or wherever I want to - Get paid well to help people - Help people get affordable access to the legal system - Help people to learn how to do the same - They get paid just as much or more than I do - Finally...It's a win-win for everyone!!!

I believe that this is something that most people want or dream about but are usually too afraid of taking control of their own lives. By that I mean they would rather leave their financial future in the hands of a boss or believe in the myth of job security. Many people are also afraid of the opinions of the haters...who are usually disguised as their misinformed friends, family members, neighbors, and acquaintances. Let me tell you something about so-called friends and family member. Many times they are the same exact people are that back in high-school, had nothing more important to do than to constantly pick on and talk negatively about the so-called nerd or the kids at school, then later on in life, the so-called nerd ends up being one of the greatest minds and leaders in the community, while the haters usually end up as alcoholics, excessive drug users, in jail and are jealous of everyone around them succeeding. They still continue to be haters and dream-stealers knowing that deep down inside they don't have the guts and the intellect to think outside of the box and do things outside of what 90% of the people do...and in many cases they are afraid of succeeding at anything positive or prosperous, but they will take every opportunity to continue to succeed with bullshit and procrastination. Mr. Robert Kiyosaki puts it to the point best "They're cowards, wimps. They don't have it." - (there were a few other words he used to describe these people, but I will leave those out for now.)

That being said, there is one thing I've learned in life. That is if you buy into other people's opinions then you buy into their lifestyle...meaning, if you decide to go by the opinion of a friend or family member that is making low 5 figures per year, then guess what will happen? You will in most cases end up doing the same. On the other hand, if you go by the opinions of a people or friends that are making 6 to 7 figures per year, guess what will happen? You will most likely end up doing the same. So when they say, you become the top 5 people you associate with, this is very true. So you have to be careful with who you listen to and the examples you learn from.

This is all just common sense, but the downfall is that most people lack common sense, unfortunately, and as stated before, they excel at is procrastination. But, they don't have to. The opportunities for change and a better lifestyle is out there...actually, most times it is staring you right in the face. All you have to do is decide, commit and succeed. You don't have to be great to start. You just have to start to become great. Enough said on that.

I've been part of a couple Network Marketing companies and I have to say the LegalShield has been the best so far with the best compensation plan out there. LegalShield has put me in a position where I don't have to work hard and more, but rather work smart...meaning that I have have not needed a job for a little over 3 years now and it just keeps getting better. Business just keeps on growing.

All I did was try out the services and realized they worked great over the period of about a month, and then I made the wise decision to give it a go as an Associate with the company. I invested an extremely low one-time start-up fee and got a great return on my investment back within a few days, and I've been in profit mode ever since!!!

You see again, being involved in the Martial Arts for over 30 years and teaching professionally for about 15 plus years, I finally realized as I was getting older and things were starting to hurt a little more and not recover as fast...LOL!!!...and I've seen hundreds of other Instructors end up using a cane to walk when reaching the ages of 60 to 70. I did not want that to be me, so I had been looking for something that would bring me closer to retirement from that field of practice. - I have also seen so many close friends and hundreds of people over the past decade go through being laid off and losing their jobs, simply because they made the choice to believe in what their parents taught them, which is "go to school; get good grade; get a good education; and finally get a good secure job because that's the only way to make money" which I find to be the biggest lie and bullshit of the 20th century, because letting a boss dictate your life and your limited income is complete insane. Well, that didn't sit right with me either. Why rely on that thing called J.O.B. security when it doesn't exist anymore for 95% of the people out there.

Knowing that to be a fact, I always knew that I wanted to be the one in control of my own life and my own income, so it was only a matter of time that I was going to make one of the wisest and best decisions I have ever made, which was to become a Network Marketer through a company that was credible and had been around for a long time. Also, I've never met anyone who worked a job making $250,000.00 to over a $1,000,000.00 a year from working hard at a job, but ever since I've been involved with LegalShield, I've met hundreds that make this income or are on their way to doing so. So as you are reading this you can ask yourself "Why not me???"

But here is what really made me join as an Associate with this company a little over 5 years ago. I could honestly help people and make a lot of money doing it!!! All I needed to know was that the products and services worked and I was going to get paid what I was worth and more. There is nothing like getting paid over $200.00 an hour whenever I want to and getting paid even when I don't actively do anything or when it has nothing to do with me.

This is also what I understood that sparked my interest. The company has paid out well over a billion dollars to Associates like myself in the last decade, but not with 40% to 75% market penetration like most companies, but They did so with less than 3% market penetration, which I understood to be the biggest financial business opportunity in North America right now. Think about it. Would it not make common sense to capitalize on the next 4% to 10% of market penetration...and for my heirs to gain from the following 10% and up through residual income alone??? I don't know about you, but that is a simply another no-brainer to me.
