Why Pitching Is Doing You More Harm Than Good

No one cares about your business ok. No one cares about your opportunity.

And as hard as that may sound, that is the truth.

You need to understand that people are probably already in a business opportunity. Naturally they want to tell you about their business, it is self-serving.

All anyone wants is to make money for themselves. They do not want to hear about another opportunity when they are already in one.

So what’s the best thing you can do for your own business?

Stand Out

Stop pitching your business and find a way to stand out from the rest.

I learnt this after two years.

How I stood out from the rest is that I thought, what is it that network marketers want? I did a bit of reverse psychology.

What network marketers want is to have lots of people sign up to their business. They want to find people who want to join their business.

So what if you can help them find those people and then in turn get them to look at your business?

Create Influence

By teaching them to find those people they begin to trust you as an authority.

When they trust you as an authority they trust your recommendations, so when you talk about your own business, guess what you have done? You have created an influence.

And that’s the secret.

This strategy and how to separate yourself from other people is what the top network marketers are doing. They have long gone out of the pitching mode and found a way to influence others to join them by showing them how to get something that they’re missing.

Be Different

Let’s say for instance that your circle is not full of network marketers. What can you do to stand out?

Well how can you be different?

What would your friends want? Everyone wants to make more money right? So here is what you can do.

Instead of telling them about a business opportunity, create posts that show how you are enjoying freedom from a job, how you have extra money to pay the bills, pay for groceries.

Lifestyle posts.

Post pictures of you enjoying the extra money that you have. No one likes flashing money so be humble with your posts and post pictures of you buying groceries, of you spending time with your family, of you travelling.

These are some examples that you can implement in your strategies to get more sign ups instead of pitching.

“When everyone is zigging, you need to zag”. Learn how you can stand out from the rest. Be different as it is something different that gets you noticed.
