How to spend More Time with your Family while Earning an Income!

My name is Becky and I am seeking those who are unhappy with their current work situation, tired of missing their family, and want something better.

Know that feeling? That deep down, “I know there is more to life than this...” feeling?

If so, read on.

So let’s start with me. I am 30 years old. A wife and mom. I did exactly what society told me when it came to my career. I got good grades, went to college, obtained a nursing license at 24, then got a “good job”. I should be happy right? Well… I was not.

I’m sure lots of others have fallen victim to the same trap. They did everything they were taught from a young age. Does this sound familiar?

How’s that working? Is the traditional “job” meeting all of life’s expectations?

It was not working for me. At 25 I had my first child. I soon realized this “nurse” life was not what I had expected. I thought I would be making a decent amount of money. Why was I busting it 12 hours a day, picking up extra shifts, working holidays, working weekends, missing my son and still struggling to pay the bills? Feeling unappreciated and overworked, I became frustrated!

Now don’t get me wrong I love helping people, and have had some very rewarding moments in my career. Caring for and helping others is my passion.

At 29 I had my second child. I did not want to go back! I wanted to stay home with my baby. As a breastfeeding mom, fear set in. How would I be able to pump every 2 hours, when I have 25 patients to care for, barely get a lunch break let alone a restroom break! It was just impossible!

Know that feeling? The sadness of having to leave a brand new baby in the hands of someone else?

I decided I would go back but only as a fill in. I could work when I wanted and make my own schedule. The hourly wage was more than full time employees. I would only work 2 days a week when my husband was off. 

Sounds great right?

Not so much. My husband and I had no time together! He was also working a lot of overtime. We never had any family time. 

After about 6 months, I had enough. I missed my husband. I can remember on the days I was going in to work my stomach would be in knots. I wanted to be home. My husband was working 60+ hours a week. It was his off day and I was going to work for 12 long hours! Which ended up being anywhere from 13-15 hours once you add the commute plus finishing up the work I hadn’t completed in my 12 hour shift.

 I wanted a change! We needed I a change! 

Right around this time I injured my arm and was unable to work. It caused me to change my focus and begin really thinking about what else I could do. I needed an income and I wanted to be home with my family. 

There had to be a way I could have both. I wanted so much more for our lives. I had so many big dreams. I wanted the four of us together all the time! We both wanted this! We wanted to travel, live life on our terms, and not have to worry about how we would pay the bills. 

I was determined to find another way! 

Then one day I saw a post a on my news feed about a couple who had a found a way to get out of their traditional jobs. I wanted what they had! 

I instantly felt like their was hope. I thought, “If other people are doing it then maybe we can too”. I reached out to the guy. I was skeptical at first, but I was open to something new. I can admit, it sounded too good to be true. Of course it would, it goes outside of the “norm”. 

I was desperate for a better life! I had no experience with this internet world but I jumped in anyway. I remember going through the coaching material and thinking, “This is it!”

I had found a way to live the life I wanted. I found a way my family could be together everyday! We would be able to do everything we have always wanted!

I was immediately welcomed into an community of like-minded individuals and mentors. All with a common goal to not only change their life but also help change other lives! 

I want to help others find a better way! I want to show people they don’t have to give up their dreams and spend their life being unhappy. They don’t have to spend all their time working, away from their families, struggling to get by. 

 There is a better way!

 So I am spreading the word! I want to help others build the life they deserve!
