Greetings my Friend,

Whether you have been in Network Marketing for a day or a hundred days, one of the biggest issues you will encounter is “How do I find people to talk to? Who do I share this with? How do I connect with others?”

When I started my Network Marketing business, I was like a hunter with the goal of bagging an elephant. I went around with my opportunity in my hand and pitched at everything that moved. All I cared about was getting that new recruit. Some people joined, most didn’t. But everyone felt hunted. Soon, people started to avoid me.

This went on for three or four years. Four years of nothing but frustration! Then, I started studying successful people in the profession, and I discovered something that completely blew my mind. Those successful people weren’t hunters, they were farmers! They built relationships, friendships, and trust with the people they met.

So, I put away my hunting equipment and put on my farmer’s hat. I cultivated relationships, and not only did I suddenly have endless people to talk to, but people were actually signing up!

Don’t hunt for prospects like I did. There are plenty of people for you to talk to out there. You just have to know where to plant the seeds.

I think one of the mistakes new people make when they get started is they compare themselves to other people. HEAR what I am saying. During my first 20 years in this industry I was with a total of 3 companies. Yes, I was a top recruiter and developer of new leaders in every company I was with.

"In my second company, my testimony was “I got involved in this company in October of 1990, I made over $10,000 my first month and I have never made less, so far my largest income month has been $42,806.00”

Now if you were one of those persons sitting in the crowd when I went across stage sharing my testimony with all the other people who had reached the top level. What people don’t understand if my first 3 years in the industry I was a very frustrated distributor. I was an emotional yo-yo with ups and downs constantly.

Yes, after my horrible experience in 1983 (which if you haven’t heard about, stick around and you will) In 1984 I became an award winner and the youngest sales coordinator in the history of that company, but it didn’t happen overnight! Yes, the testimony I was giving in 1990 with my second company & was 100% true, but you have to understand the path people take to get where they are.
