The Money Tree

A high school buddy and I were reminiscing about some of the things we did together and for each other.  You know; the things that were said or done to keep one or both of us out of the principal's office.  We always had a good relationship prior to my entry into the military.  But now, I was not so sure how our relationship was on this particular day we just happen to run into each other at the local grocery store.  We were pushing our carts through the store and reminiscing as we each gathered the things we had come to purchase.

About halfway into getting the items I needed, I asked him;  " What line of work do you do now."  

"Oh, I'm still at the plant across the river where we went to work after we graduated.  But you up and went into the military but I'm close to retirement,"  he replied.  (At this point I stuck my foot inside the door, a matter of speaking.)

"Do you have a 'Plan B' after your retirement?"  I asked in a hesitation kind of way.

"What I would like to do and what I can do are two different things.  Money doesn't grow on trees you know,"  he remarked.  "But I would love to find something that I could work part-time to stay active mentally and physically."

"I understand and I agree that money does not grow on trees but, we can grow a tree."  Making my first line of approach.  He just chuckled at what I said.

"Here is my contact information.  Let's get together soon and talk some more.  I really need to get home so I can go to a meeting I am scheduled for.  What would be a good time for us to get together later this week?"  I handed him my contact information, we exchanged a day and time that was convenient for both of us.  I picked up the rest of my items, check out, and headed home.

The appointed time was Thursday at 5:00 P.M.  At one minute before time, I pick up my phone and slowly dialed his number.  The ringing begins, and it rings five times and goes to voice mail.  So, I leave a message.  Two days later I call again, the same thing, I have to leave a message.  For a total of two weeks, I have left messages but this message will be the drop.  Sure enough, I got his voice mail again.

"Hey man," as I was about to continue with my drop message, "Hi Dude.  How are you doing? Tell me about the health and wellness business you are in.  I have been asking some people about you and they tell me you are into some network marketing business.  I understand you have some products that could help me with some health issues both myself and my wife have."  I was shocked to hear his voice, but even more surprised that he knew something about what I did to supplement my income.

As we communicated about health issues, I shared with him some benefits of seven products that I felt may help him and his wife with their health issues.  I also shared the fact, that we have other great quality products as well.  He did not hesitate when asking for a way to get the products.  Of course, I announced my link to The HOTTEST TREND and he signed up.

But I could not allow it to stop there.  Because he knew I was a network marketer for the company.  So, I shared another fact with him.  "Now that you have signed up, and if you should happen to share results and benefits you get by using the products; you are already set to make a commission also should someone want to purchase from you.  But, there is more!  

You and I know some of the same people.  You may very well share your amazing results with them and they may decide to purchase from you.  My friend, I will be very happy for you!  You will know people that I do not know and they too will purchase from you.  My friend, I will be very happy for you.  However, there will come a time in this business, that you will be looking and wanting to find someone you can share this opportunity with.  There are companies that I use to advertise my business with.  One of those companies is Global and when you mentioned a few days ago, that money doesn't grow on trees; well my friend, we gain grow a couple of trees with both of these companies.

Now, if you think that you would like to earn some additional income, just share the opportunity of both companies and earn from them both.  There is an old saying:  You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make him drink.  I have presented you with the water that can grow the tree which will provide the money.
