I remember 2nd grade.. my teacher asked what 1+1 was and all I could think about was drawing pictures of trees and houses with a bright yellow sun and birds in the sky. I never thought about retirement.
Then 7th grade was about girls.. never learned about finances.. 8th grade was about girls and a specific mustang my best friends father had.
9th and 10th grade was about popularity... and sports. I made varsity pretty quick for both football and track&field. They said I need my grades to be at least a “C” in order to be on the varsity team as a younger class.
11th grade I said “Eff this, I’m joining the Army and off to boot camp I went.. Came back and finished high school then went back to Advanced Individual Training with the Army... still never learned about retirement other than I could retire early if I stayed in the army for 20 years.
Then Iraq happened... I never thought I would experience such a life changing event... watching so many people give the ultimate sacrifice... witnessing my best friend just ...disappear... the night mares are never ending...

But life MUST go on... for my Wife and my 2 beautiful boys. That is why I started MyEcon and believe in it. For something so inexpensive that is designed to empower people, I found a way that, as a veteran, I could continue to fight for my country... only this time it’s financially.
