BE SOMEONE PEOPLE NEVER THOUGHT

_Often times when people plan to come into the *network marketing industry*, the first thought that comes to their mind is how they are going to get their friends and loved ones to join their business, the truth is in most cases it doesn't work as planned, they are disappointed and 80% of the time, that brings to an end their career as network marketers, the dream ends right there and they pack up._

_It's time to stop being naive and prepare your mind for the task ahead. In most cases, the last set of people that will join your business are your friends and family and the reason is simple, this people know too much to believe in you, they are aware of all of your many failures, failure in college, failure at a job, failure in marriage, you never passed an exam before, they know how broke and indebted you are, and here you are telling them how they can become millionaires when you are not one yourself, the truth is, that is coming from you is enough reason for them not to believe, you don't look like the guy with the solution._

_Your friends and family will join your business but that would be after you have succeeded. In most cases, their first reaction to your business is mockery, do not let that get to you, our industry is still a young one, we still have a lot of educating to do, majority of the people are ignorant of the potential in this industry, so be calm. From the mockery stage is the observation stage, at this point it's beginning to look like you are doing something, it's looking like you are going somewhere, they have seen you pick up their one year salary in one month, when the cheque becomes constant is the appreciation stage, they now appreciate and love what you do. If you are not mentally tough you will never cross the first stage, they end your career right there._

_To win in this business you must be spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically fit, ignoring any department of your life is at your own detriment because it will surely catch up with you. You have the responsibility of continually fortifying yourself by reading good business books (expecially on network marketing) deliberately build relationships with successful network marketers, make sure you spend time with them often, I learnt more from hanging around my mentor than the things he said on stage with the microphone, expose yourself to teachings by network marketing professionals._

_Do not forget that knowledge is really not power, it is potential power, activated knowledge is power. You must practice what you have learned._
