Technical Dolt
I listen to lots of podcasts.
One of them is a libertarian podcast called The Tom Woods show.
Tom's got a PhD in History, and he would probably be a professor at a university or a member of a think tank if he did things like pretty much everyone else.
But Tom is no ordinary guy. The way he puts it "I didn't want to just talk about economic freedom and liberty. I wanted to actually be a part of it. I wanted to be an entrepreneur."
Even if you're not a libertarian (or think you're not) you should give Tom's show a try. You'll hear things that nobody else talks about from a point of view you don't normally hear on mainstream media.
The other day, Tom was talking about a product called Digital Safe. They're out of Switzerland, and they use the strict Swiss privacy laws to protect data for people from all over the world. It's worth checking out if you're the slightest bit paranoid - like I am.
During the conversation, Tom referred to himself as a "technical dolt".
I thought that was pretty funny, because after all, he does a podcast daily and uses it to sell his information products online. You might think Tom is a technical whiz.
I found it interesting because the service from Digital Safe is so easy that anyone can learn to use it and secure their info and communications quickly.
