This is so true! 2020 was proof for me of this! We got stuck in a different country with my online income from Airbnb slashed and my husband having to take salary cuts and give up his bonuses to the company. We had to pay double for everything, a mortgage in South Africa and rent for a roof over our heads in Costa Rica.
I had two employees working for me in my Airbnb business and they still had to be paid.
We were eating through our savings faster than the customers at the Heart Attack Grill eat a burger.

Multiple income streams are an absolute necessity and not a luxury!! Thats the lesson I learned, and even better if they are not all in the same industry. 

Diversify your income. The days of being able to rely on the security of your job have long gone! Raise your ️hand if you experienced this! 

For me and my family, we learned this lesson the hard way after 2020 because all our income was tourist related! I won't make that mistake again.
