Are You a Leader or a Hobbyist?
Every now and then an opportunity comes along that is life changing. The problem is, most networkers are not able to spot these opportunities because they treat their businesses like hobbies instead of like a business. The reasons? They are NOT leaders!
So what is a leader? Is it someone who can recruit a thousand people into their opportunity? Or, someone who has tons of people following them? Here's a surprising answer for you. Just because you have people following you, or the ability to recruit thousands, that in and of itself don't make you a leader! You see, some people are good at the art of persuasion. They can sell ice cubes to an Eskimo. BUT THEY ARE NOT LEADERS!
Why? because leaders take care of their team! They don't just recruit and leave their team to fend for themselves! They SPONSOR people and work with them until they have developed OTHER leaders! In other words, leaders don't recruit FOLLOWERS, the recruit LEADERS! I can earn more money with 10 leaders than you can with a thousand followers!
This is how you build your team. Leaders know that it the team doesn't earn, THEY don't earn! Leaders can spot great opportunities when they see them. Leaders don't squawk at what the cost is to join these opportunities because they know that is an investment, not a cost! Leaders don't need gimmicks and false claims to inspire the team!
These are the things that make great leaders! Are YOU a leader, or just a hobbyist? Do you fall for the claims of "We do all the work" or "catch my spillover"? Leaders KNOW that the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary!
Let me ask you one final question. If someone gave you a deck of cards and offered to pay you $1,000 for every ace you found, would you take the deuces and try to change them into aces, or just flip through the deck to get to them?
