The big lie about your prospect list!
Hi fellow entrepreneurs
Yesterday we promised to reveal the big lie about your prospect list.
Here it is… The premise that you don’t know that many people, or you’ve already talked with everybody you know.
If a premise is wrong, everything that follows from that premise is wrong and that premise is pure nonsense.
Let us share with you the real truth, so you can get the best results in your recruiting.
At the very LEAST, the average person knows at least 800 people who are contactable. For most people, the number is closer to 3,000. For many, the number is closer to 5,000.
That’s the truth. And if you sat down with us and allowed us to ask you…who did you go to school with? Who did you work with? Who do you know through church? who did you serve in the military with? who used to live next door to you, upstairs, downstairs? how many names do you have on your phone? how many email addresses do you have on your laptop/tablet? How many friends do you have on social media? who sold you your X, Y and Z, etc., etc.? we could prove that together.
As well as the people you know or know of - you will meet people you can add to your prospect list or pipeline every day - 7 days a week! You can advertise and build relationships all over the place using social media platforms including YouTube! You can join organisations to meet people! Put yourself in places where you can talk to people every day! Have a conversation with people you meet asking them what they do, take an interest in what they do. When you do that guess what they do? They ask - What do you Do? Your mission when you meet new people is to get them interested in finding out what you do and as soon as they ask that question they are in your pipeline! So since we know that premise is dead, it leads us to a very important question…
Does your prospect list have anything remotely close to 800, 2,000 or 5,000 names on it? If the answer is ‘no,’ then you can probably figure what your homework is for tonight!
P. S. In tomorrow’s lesson, you’ll discover what to do with those names once you have them!
Have a great day
To Your Success
