One method for finding leads is to go to a search engine and type in 'Chamber of Commerce ', then specify the city and State. Look up the members directory and it will usually give you both names and phone numbers. I believe it is best to use a generic approach and ask “would you be interested in looking at some business information and may I either email you, or send you a text message with the information?' This method gives the potential business associate the opportunity to accept or decline the information and is a form of 'permission based marketing'
There are sources where you may purchase leads. Two sources of inexpensive leads are 'seoclerks.com and fiverr.com ' It is stated that they don't use bots but I find excessive claims vs extremely cheap price hard to gauge. I have utilized their services as the prices are reasonable and the workers seem sincere in their approach.
Another source is 3in1usatraffic.com they offer both monthly and a one time price which is nice that you can try the service without obligation before deciding on a longer term. They utilize traffic from expired domains , which I believe has a stronger chance of being viewed as the people are already using search engines to research business ideas. The company allows you to target your desired audience. I think the pages have a stronger chance of being viewed vs using pop-ups or pop-under as those tend to annoy people and they strive to leave quickly.
