Chapter 10 Power of the Mastermind: The Driving Force

Napoleon Hill Writes:

"Money is as shy and elusive as the “old time” maiden. It must be wooed and won by methods not unlike those used by a determined lover, in pursuit of the girl of his choice. And, coincidental as it is, the POWER used in the “wooing” of money is not greatly different from that used in wooing a maiden. That power, when successfully used in the pursuit of money must be mixed with FAITH. It must be mixed with DESIRE. It must be mixed with PERSISTENCE. It must be applied through a plan, and that plan must be set into ACTION. 

Napoleon Hill paints a perfect picture here and almost any man should be abe to understand and remember when you were pursuing your would-be wife, or that girl that lives down the street or someone who works in your company. In order to win her, your brain had to step up its vibration in order to form a plan. Can you remember the drive you had, the feelings you got when you thought of her or saw her across the cafeteria? The thoughts of how can I attract her? What should I say, what will I do to get and keep her attention? this is an important fact The power it too to get wealth is the same power we need to keep it. You chose a course of action backed by desire and persistence faith and love and to some degree the emotion of sex which enables you to have the power to overcome any fear you may have had. We need this same feeling to induce in us that power to pursue money. I was listening to a video that the person said that most people use the terms prosperity, wealth and riches in their affirmations and fear using the term money. When we pursued our soon to be wife we could not get enough of saying and hearing her name; of hearing her voice. Money has a voice and we can often hear that voice as we pursue it. 

Hill Says: 
"When money comes in quantities known as “the big money,” it flows to the one who accumulates it, as easily as water flows down hill. There exists a great unseen stream of POWER, which may be compared to a river; except that one side flows in one direction, carrying all who get into that side of the stream, onward and upward to WEALTH—and the other side flows in the opposite direction, carrying all who are unfortunate enough to get into it (and not able to extricate themselves from it), downward to misery and POVERTY." 
Hill also tells us that that money flows to one who accumulates and he speaks about water that flows in two directions we have to make a decision; on which side of the river we want to get in? If we do not make a choice the negative side will overflow its banks and pull us in.  If we cannot extricate ourselves or cross over into the other side, it will take us on a ride that travels to poverty-ville and Lack-Town.  We learned like weeds which need not help or invitation, the negative side of the stream will take us. And like choosing to have a garden, we have to be active in keeping that garden and extricating any seed that finds their way into our garden. When the money begin to flow we will wonder "where was al this money hiding at all my life" 
Hill also states:  

"Poverty and riches often change places. The Crash taught the world this truth, although the world will not long remember the lesson. Poverty may, and generally does, voluntarily take the place of riches. When riches take the place of poverty, the change is usually brought about through well-conceived and carefully executed PLANS. Poverty needs no plan. It needs no one to aid it because it is bold and ruthless. Riches are shy and timid. They have to be “attracted.”

As Hill points out, not only does it take power to get the money it takes power to keep it. If we fail to keep up what it took to get the money we can also lose it. In his example of money being pursued, we don't just go neutral after we win her affections, we can lose our mate. In the same way, if we don;t keep the romance hot we can lose money, wo we need that power that will allow us to keep the money we have attracted. 

In the crash of the market people lost faith and in doing so they lost the power to keep money. There was no plan for this loss, it just came upon them. But to accumulate wealth and to keep it we need power and there is not greater power to this end that the power of the Mastermind. When two or more minds come together in total harmony it creates or attracts the third mind when the psychic connection is established between the two brains. Hill also states that the majority of mankind has no idea how powerful, thoughts, ideas and word are to the human race. Which is why very few people accumulate great fortunes because they do not know how to exercise that power in the fashion of the mastermind. Group.

Because of my great mentor who kept me reminded that he believes in me, with love and patience has guided me I can now see myself accumulating wealth. I am grateful for this mastermind group I put together my first money affirmation, I can see myself attracting money to myself.
