MLM Tip #4: How to Sell More Products

Are you a representative of a direct sales or multi-level marketing company? Have you exhausted your warm market and facets of your cold market? Would you like to refresh your customer pool and sell more products? Unfortunately, running into "the wall" or hitting a plateau in your direct sales business seems inevitable and is generally accepted as a terrible reality in the direct sale community. That does not have to be

In tip number one of the How to Get More Recruits and/or Prospects article series, I wrote about getting more prospects by way of Meetup.com and Eventbrite.com. In this post, I will focus how direct sales reps can sell more products to new customers.

Vend at Events

If you are involved with a direct sales company and you are selling physical products, you may find great success by renting a booth at a flea market. Interestingly, this seems to be a largely ignored avenue by direct sales reps. Naturally, flea markets are a place where people are looking to buy something. So, if you are selling make-up, or lotions, or oil, you are likely to get a some buyers for your products. Vending at flea markets is often a low cost option to thin out your garage when you have product piling up.

Similarly, vending at big events is an even better option for direct sales reps who have physical products. Selling your products at shows which are related to your product is a great way to sell a lot of your wares at one time. For example, a rep who sells make-up would probably make a killing at a beauty and fashion event. A rep who sells car oil would probably do well at a car show. You get the idea.

To find these events, I suggest looking up the schedules of local convention centers, state fair grounds, and similar places. You may have to ask around to find out there the local flea markets are. Often, vending at flea markets is between $15 and $25 a day with special rates for more permanent booths. The price to rent a space at your local flea market will vary. While you are vending, consider placing an opt-in form, sign-up sheet, or keep-in-touch sheet so that you can keep in contact with customers or people interested in joining your team as reps. Hopefully, you will get out there and sell lots and lots of products.

If you are interested in a company that does not require you to lug around lotions, potions, or other products, consider becoming part of my team. If you want to read the other articles the series visit  the Work at Home Maiden blog.
