Let the cards do the talking
Here is an interesting way to introduce your present business to others when they don’t want to listen to what you have to say for fear you are try to sell them something.
The card does it all and all you have to do is say Ma’am or Sir I want to introduce myself, I am ………………. I have a home based business called …………………… I would like to give you one of our brochures and this $200 gift card free good for travel, hotels and airfares etc. What you do is use a little silicone to attach the card to your brochure.
Now they may say no to your one business but how can someone say no to a free gift as a result they may look twice at the products you are trying to sell. The simple best leverage is to give something of value to someone especially if it is FREE. You give out 35 cards you may get one or two new customers for your original business BUT TAKE A LOOK AT THIS. Out of those 35 cards, 3 cards were used fully on which you get $100 x 3 = $300 and out of those who said no to your product, you could get one or two IBOs. When you sign a gold or platinum IBO, you get paid a $75 quick bonus and that is just a start. So out of those 35 people who may not have given you the time of day, because of the FREE $200 Goodlife gift card, you got have two repeat customers and $450 dollars.
Now if you pass out 35 cards a week you have just increased business #1 by 8 customers and you have also got $1800 from business #2 which is just a start for it. If you could show people how they can do what you are doing to earn money giving away $200 gift cards on which you get paid 50% of used value without selling anything how many people do you think would be interested in listening to you. Now you know these numbers can and will vary and will vary but you get the idea of the fact that you can get by using the gift card as an incentive.
Now let’s take a different look at it. Let’s reverse it. You have passed out the cards and people have become members and IBO’s and you keep in contact with these people regularly. In a simple general conversation you can talk about your love for your products and get people interested in trying them, again without selling them as you are only talking about your love for the products. After they have tried them you can show them how to make money and you are combining the two businesses.
Use them as a business card for your present business by putting you info on the back of the card with a clear label or by co-branding the cards with your company on the front and passing them out without the brochure.
I want to show you some potential figures. You hand out 25 cards a day for 5 days = 125 cards x 4 weeks = 500 cards half get used $200 @ 50 % = $100 x 250 = $25,000 cost of your cards less than 25 cents each. Out of those 250 you get 5 IBOs at Gold or Platinum you get $75 quick bonus = $375 now you do this for 3 months in a row and figure out where you will be. No RECRUITING No SELLING No CONVINCING the savings does it all for you. The average number of people who sign as IBOs is estimated to be more like 5 out of every 100 which means you would quite possibly get 10 to 12 IBOS which would make the quick bonus pay around $750 to $900. But you have also introduced 500 people to your products as well. It is inevitable someone is going to ask you about your products sooner or late.
Do you see how by introducing the cards to people you are earning to cover the cost of the cards and the cost of your brochures that way you are not infringing on your budget.
