Act as if you're downline doesn't exist - Cedrick Harris

I am currently reading "Lead Like Jesus" by Ken Blanchard and Phil Hodges.  I actually have a few books going right now, but I am backing up to finish this one.  I haven't read 10 pages per day as most leaders advise, but I have been reading a few pages per day in the middle of a busy schedule.  I'm going to try and focus on finishing this book.

Now, about the title of this announcement.  I was watching a video earlier today by Eric Worre and Cedrick Harris where Mr. Harris described his journey as an entrepreneur and his journey into network marketing.  He has become highly successful in the network marketing space.

I was highly intrigued by how down - to - earth Cedrick Harris is and the way he handles his life.  To me, it's the way it should be since he described how hard he works, even now.

When he made the statement that, even though he has become successful, he still treats each day as if his "downline doesn't exist" that definitely resonated with me and I will definitely remember that in the future.  He most definitely has a solid downline, but he doesn't act like he does.  That's impressive to me.

We need to stay hungry on a daily basis, meaning we don't need to take any success we have for granted.  God gives us the very air we breathe and all things above that.  He allowed us to have the success we have, at whatever level that may be.

Network marketing is actually about helping others in whatever form we can help them.  We work to make other people's lives better.  Most people have mental barriers to network marketing.  For those of us who understand the profession and how it works, it's actually our responsibility to help others see that there is a better way.

So, even if we reach the level of success that Cedrick Harris reached, we need to continue each day by his example and continue to do the things that brought us to that success.  In the process we keep ourselves in check and we keep finding others that we can show how to reach that same success.  

Network marketing isn't necessarily easy.  It is, though, a much better way once we find traction and momentum.
