LOVE YOUR PET? THIS IS A MUST READ

Now I consider myself a smart pet owner, but what I discovered, just today, made me sick.

I have had dogs and cats all my life. Up until January I lived in southern Alberta in a small rural town, but now I live in southern Saskatchewan. Totally new experience for me. Well in January lots of snow and ice but come spring we, me and my hairy children, found some very fun places to run free. Trees, grass, fields, gophers, a creek, and lots and lots, I mean lots, of ticks. Now in Alberta where I had lived there was not a lot of the little critters so I wasn't big into tick medication etc.  But yes come April/May my critters had critters. So off to the store to get the messy oil and we were away.

Now after a month I found the chews to be effective and a lot less messy, so I got some from my vet at 20.00 a pop x two critters x 5 months is a fair size grocery tab!! But yes they were effective and I found, and swept up many dead, dried up ticks. Ok not all were dead and yes some were on me!! Ewww! My husband found them in his hair and on his body constantly thru out the spring and early summer. Nothing says yum like shaking a tick out of your hair at the supper table.

Anyway....while surfing on line today I found pet protector. I watched the videos, read the stories, and I had a light bulb moment. The chemicals in the tick med I think is making my dog sick. I won't go on as I have no proof but I've ordered mine today and I will definitely update on this site. I didn't realize that so many pet owners have lost their beloved pets due to flea and tick medications and shampoos.

 I wish I had found this at the beginning of spring but I know there are a lot of you out there in the world with year around ticks, and fleas are all season pests. My dogs will definitely be wearing theirs come spring and I have plans to put one around my husband's neck for when he's digging in the scrap yard.
