The first step in creating an online marketing empire is to choose or create an area that will be your marketing command center. That's where you'll have your desk, computer and all the other stuff you need to be effective with your online marketing. 

Your marketing command center is the physical space where you'll work your marketing magic. We'll cover using your Online Marketing Command Center in future articles. If you don't have yours yet, you can get started over here.

For your marketing command center, you want a place that can be quiet; where you can totally immerse yourself in what you're doing with no interruptions. The closer you can come to completely shutting yourself off from the rest of the world, the better off you'll be.

Interruptions have a way of wiping out your train of thought and it takes time to get back on track. You may not have lots of time for your online marketing, so you're gonna have to make the most of the time you do have. That means ruthlessly cutting out distractions and jealously guarding your marketing time.

The next thing to do is choose a time every day that you'll dedicate to your online marketing. The reason you want to do your marketing at the same time every day is simple. Make a habit of your online marketing. You'll do it in the same place, at the same time, with the same routine every day.

Let nothing distract you from your online marketing tasks that you've committed to getting done every day. Your habits will determine your future. Whether you succeed because you've made marketing a priority, or fail because you allowed distractions to stop you depends on your habits. 

Commit to creating good habits. Your future self will thank you for it.
