Your business is you, and whatever you decide to promote. People don't join MLM companies as much as they join other people. How is your trust factor regarding the people you meet? Are you good at following up? Are you a good leader?
  

Actually, one of the very best skills you can learn for multiple streams of income is branding.  Knowing how to brand yourself will always guarantee multiple sales of whatever product or service you are promoting because you will have already built a group of fans following your steps. Should you create Multiple Streams of Income and Not Just One MLM?

If you are a serious MLMer, it would be advantageous for you to consider having multiple streams of income. What if your best recruiter in your downline leaves and takes a lot of people with him/her? What happens if the company goes out of business? What happens to your lifestyle if you even by mistake happen to break some hidden policy and get your commissions cut?

I know one fantastic recruiter who recruited 5K people in six months for a particular MLM and was at the very top 3 in her company. The company started changing rules and policies and in the end she felt she could not identify with the company anymore and decided to quit. Her downline was about 1/3 of the company’s whole network. It shook the company’s foundations for a good month. Luckily, she had another networking business at the same time and didn’t fall flat on her face.  

What happened with her downline? Some stayed in the company, and some followed her in her other business because they developed a relationship with her and trusted her. Several people still left the company. One hopes they also had a second or third income stream to keep them going instead of starting from zero.

How do you get multiple streams of income as a network marketer? 

It is important to follow a proven, step-by-step process that will maximize your odds of success if you’re going to pursue multiple streams of income. Below is that step-by-step process:

Step 1: Master your first stream of income
 

Your first stream of income should be something so personally exciting that you’d do it whether you ever made money at it or not. It is important that you have true passion with what you currently are doing.  

Why? Because the first stream of income will be the toughest.

This is where you will develop your first contacts in the business, support team members, learn fundamental skills applicable to all streams of income, overcome personal obstacles to success, and create enough cash flow to get out of the rat race.

Your first stream of residual income is where you’ll get the most bumps and bruises. By choosing an area you’re passionate about, you’ll increase the odds that you persist long enough to clear all the hurdles and succeed.

If you are reading this article because you actually feel stuck and unable to keep moving forward. It is most probable you are in need of real training because you are lacking knowledge in the marketing area or what tools you need.  

In this case, I highly suggest you read up on what is needed to be a serious MLMer. If you haven’t already, you should read the basic books of the Network Marketer which are: “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki, “Go Pro” by Eric Worre and “The 4-Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferriss.

2) Systematize that First Stream of Income

I know several successful entrepreneurs who have blown their businesses through the roof using the same strategy and business plan as companies like Apple because they learned how to create a system that will work for itself. 

After mastering the first stream of income, you must create a system where your business becomes automatized so that it no longer requires your limited time and attention.

There are several tools that have been created to systematize a business, some of them even provide the possibility of being an affiliate, so you can earn a comission helping your downline grow the same way you are in your business. That in itself can turn into a stream of income as well.

Master the skills of systematizing and have your first stream of income run on auto-pilot without requiring your time, thus earning you residual income and cash flow.

Step 3: Leverage Resources to Create Additional Streams of Residual Income

Once you have systematized the first stream of income to produce residual income without your involvement, then you have the free time and energy to add multiple streams of income.

The key is to leverage the skills, knowledge, and network you created in the first stream of income so that you aren’t starting from scratch on each additional stream.  

In business terms it is called operational efficiency. It takes less effort to operate each additional stream of income because they’re all built upon the same foundational resources.

 Follow this step-by-step process, to build multiple streams of income and be part of the highly successful direct marketers who have leveraged their marketing skills, network, and databases to create residual income by offering other product lines with minimal effort.
