"Wow, she is always posting videos of her and money, she said it's easy, if she can do it so can I..." Sound a little familiar? How about "Stop living payday to payday," "Need $5k by the end of the week?" "Make money on Autopilot!"

Ah, so we do have something in common. Great.  We'll build from that, I'll tell you a short version of my story.

Do you remember that feeling of excitement when you joined your first MLM company? I do.
I went through the training, created my presentation and then started spamming the crap out of Facebook.  I was really excited.  The interest was there but nobody wanted to join, everyone else was introducing new team members everyday except me, I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I was doing exactly what I was meant to.

So, I started following this lady and seen she was having success with this other business and said it was easy, so I thought "Oh, that's why this isn't working, I'm with the wrong business," this lady was also a member of the business that I was having a hard time with. Anyway, I whipped the card out and joined her team and started spamming another Facebook profile of mine, same thing as the previous business, interest but no results. I started watching this guy who was also a member of this business I had recently joined. He spoke highly of the company rotator and how there were 2 of them that your link would be entered in to. I thought "Yes, of course, wow, now that's a good leader, really wanting to help his downline. I like his style, this is the team I should be on. I'll re-sign with him when I'm due for renewal." 

 So again I whip out the card, $200 later (New Zealand to US Dollar) I was given a rotator link and was told sign with whoever I get, so I did. I was then added to the rotator link and then to the Facebook group, only to find I was one of many on these 2 rotators, I saw that one person had been in the rotator for 2 months and hadn't received anyone. I continued to spam Facebook with my business opportunity, same thing. I got a lot of leads but nobody was willing to pay to join. I was really disheartened by this time, I'd spent $200NZD well if you include my first month, that's a total of $248.55 NZD in 2 months. I didn't know what I was doing wrong, I was doing what I was told, done videos but nobody would join me.

Yeah, I kissed that money good bye alright. At the time, I blamed the both of them for me not making a dime. I thought "How can you lie to people by saying this is easy and promote rotators that are overloaded?" ... Fast forward to today, I think to myself "Had I done this or taken the time out to educate myself things would've been different." But it's fine, I understand now. All too well.

See, I now accept responsibility for me not making a dime with that business and appreciate the valuable lessons I was taught in those 2 months.  Which are:

• Some people are in it for themselves and don't care to provide value (Wrong mindset)

• Never rely on rotators

• Don't 'assume' anything

• What works for some, won't work for all

I'm neither a rookie or a veteran. I'm in the middle working towards being a MLM veteran, educating myself and sharing my experiences and knowledge.

I know my strengths and I work with those, first being content marketing, I'm also a quick learner and am very observant. I'm a leader both on and off line and like to pave the way. Any good leader will be 10 steps ahead of their team and constantly providing value to his/her team.

My whole outlook on network marketing changed after I started educating myself. I knew nothing about marketing or sales, simply put I have no previous sales or marketing experience off line. My work history ranges from Construction, Automotive Mechanics to Warehouse work, so yes, I'm a hands on person, behind the scenes so to speak. But here I am out there amongst millions on an international scale, with the support of my team/online family, Millionaire Legacy. I love it.
