Hi, My name is Jackie. I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant.
For the last 17 Years I was happily employed, then I suddenly lost my job. I didn't know what to do! I am almost reaching pension age. I still have a mortgage to pay and I have bills every month that need to be paid too. At my age the prospect and chance of getting another job would be very slim, unless I wanted a lower paid menial job like cleaning or other people's ironing.....both tasks I hate.
A friend suggested that I sell Scentsy! I already used and loved the products, but I laughed at the idea of me doing Parties. Scentsy is a hip young persons thing and I would be laughed at trying to entice these young things to buy from me!!
As the days wore on I considered other products I could sell or things I could do to make money and one by one crossed them of my possibility list...I didn't like or believe in the product, I needed too much Initial investment to buy my starter kit, I thought the opportunity sounded too good to be true ( and it was...there are a lot of scams out there), the companies wanted too much commitment from me to remain active. I continually came back to Scentsy and I began to research it in earnest.
To cut a long story short, I started My Scentsy Journey. Within 3 months I was the 7th top earner from a group of 175 ( many in that group had been selling for a year ( or more) I had 2 recruits, I was promoted 3 times and have almost earned an all expenses paid trip to Cyprus and I was doing parties... and loving it! It's not difficult to sell and most people once they have tried Scentsy, love it and want more. I'm not making thousands yet, but I am paying my mortgage and other bills and have enough left over to get my hair or nails done regularly, or buy a new outfit.
I have met many amazing and wonderful people on my journey, lots of whom I now class as friends and Do you know what? I have changed. This job is not about making money any more, because I am selling a product that makes so many people happy. it is about making a difference in the lives of the people I meet everyday. Whether they are buying and enjoying my products, or starting their own journey in direct sales or simply seeing that it is never too late to do something new, to take a different path and be successful at it, i am doing that! I am getting immense satisfaction from my business and I want to help people, who like me, went through a bad patch. They can come out the other side better and stronger. I am much more confident and outgoing. I can empathise with other peoples' needs and desires, and if I can help them I will!
If I can help one person make a positive change in their own life, then I feel I will have done well.
