The Art Of John Sebastian

John Sebastian, self taught in drawing and painting in abstract expressionism and impressionism, was born in Long Island, New York. His family is made up of generations of artists, craftsmen, writers, carpenters, draftsmen, engineers, and musicians.

The son of an artist and musician of classical, swing and jazz music, Sebastian is self taught in guitar. His favorite American Modern Contemporary Painting Masters are the following Paul Klee, Jasper Jones, Robert Rauschenberg, Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter. Drawing and Draftsmanship based on studies of the old masters like Albrecht Durer inspired him and have given him the tools and background to produce Stunning and Unique Original Paintings and Drawings that Inspire Educate and have brought Joy to many collectors from all over the world.

John, follows in the footsteps of the great acting teacher Stanislavsky and lives his life in art as his Idol and teacher has.

John Sebastian spent his life studying body movement, facial expressions and spiritual intent. His art spans the gamut from paintings to Artist in Residence.
