Building the Dream

To me building the dream is similar to the mindset of being an architect. Before the building can be constructed, the architect has to have a vision of what the structure should look like. Our Dreams take on the same principles. What would your first day of working from home look like? Hectic ? or more relaxed?

The effort we put in for starters lays the foundation for the business you intend to build. To start planning your course of action for building your dreams it is advisable to establish a set of achievable goals. Short term goals will then add up in results to establish your long term goals.

The short term goals can be as simple as your budget will allow. An example would be , I will make 500 phone calls by making 20 dials a day for 25 days. At the end of that session I will …splurge at a restaurant or add some money to a debit card for a shopping spree . I might add 10 to 30 dollars or more. He dollar amount is not as important as the

By rewarding yourself for your efforts along the way it divides the dream into workable tasks , as I have heard it often said ‘our dreams come with work clothes’. It will help see you through rejection as some people will not join in your program. This is not to be negative but is reality and why many companies encourage a large names list.

It is helpful to define your long term goals…I want…a new home, move to the mountains, live close to the ocean, own a nicer car , have a pool, to live by a lake, to have a guitar in every room. What can you envision ? Where do you want to go? What do you want to do when you get there? For everyone the answer is a little bit different.

It is good to build flexibility into your goal setting, as life is not always constant in the flow of everyday activities. Some days you may only make 5 calls, it is good to get a notebook and track your progress. If you are not achieving the results you want or if the time frame needs an adjustment , you can always try to work in more calls or presentations to help increase your chances. It could be as slight as ““I will make 25- 30 calls today to offset the days I had to make less or none at all. Think of it this way , at work if you do not show up how much will they pay you. This is one advantage of building for a residual income which is often a drawing point for referral based marketing. Friends , family and make a friend are the sources I use. “Kerry , what is make a friend?” …That is a “cold” contact of someone I have never actually met. My grandmother told me “TO make a friend , be friendly to people. “ …What does that have to do with your dreams?…Everything in network marketing in that our newly formed friendships are the building blocks for our dreams and more importantly their dreams.

Returning our thoughts now to the architect, they see and envision the project before the first stone is laid or the foundation is set. Can you imagine the thought process that went into a structure such as Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas? Ships that appear to sail and sink in the middle of the desert in a spectacular show and display. The illusion of an Oasis in the desert . Put that kind of thought into building Your Dream….make it remarkable. Overcome the obstacles and realize some people will not have your vision and for those who do help them envision Their remarkable Dream.

Wishing you the Best,

Kerry
