Have started several traditional and MLM Network Marketing Companies over the past several decades, I have seen it all.  With the advent of the internet, I sold my traditional businesses and concentrated on the business model of Network Marketing.  Having built several businesses based on referrals and networking, never mind rewarding those who provided referrals to my businesses, I know first hand the power of reciprocal referrals, you help my business, and I will in return help your business with my client and customer referrals. 

Given the MLM Network Marketing business model also utilizes referral marketing, as I called it well before it was used to disguise the term MLM given the negativity by many when they hear term, thinking all MLM's are Ponzi pyramid scams, and for good reason, many such scams are using the MLM model over the years. So knowing the negative impact using the term MLM, and my success using referral marketing, I do not use the term MLM in any of my marketing. Lesson learned, why make life in your own business more difficult than it has to be.

When I explain my businesses, I wait for a prospect to ask, is this an MLM business, as many always do when introducing referral marketing, I simple ask, why, are you against the MLM model?  Always ask questions, do not try to sell your prospect straight away is another lesson learned being in business for decades, most people do not want to be sold, but they do not mind being told about your business when they ask questions.

Having learned how to build successful businesses, starting from the age of 12, I know what works and what does not when it comes to selling. Given the fact millions are asking the same questions worldwide, which is the best business, which is the lowest cost to start, which will net a profit the quickest, and variations of these same questions, it sparked another business as many of us who have been successful business entrepreneurs had discussed this for years. For those who are on forums like Quora, which is worldwide, these questions are asked millions of times a day.

As one who was on business forums from the start, even creating one back in the 80's, these were very effective marketing forums at the time and exploded over the past few decades.  Sadly, many have died as there is always a new marketing strategy popping up, and having used every known strategy and tool when it comes to marketing, again, I have seen it all.
