I saw my first network marketing presentation in 1979 and fell in love with the concept. I was a corporate manager for a Fortune 100 business at the time. I had graduated from college with a business degree and was on my way to success in the corporate world. However, during that presentation, the circles painted on the white board to represent network marketing opened my eyes to the future of company.

After nearly 27 years, I'm confident that network marketing is the industry of the future. It's a tremendous marketing concept that's taking the world by storm and will have a larger impact than franchising. Bold assertions? The proof will be provided in the remainder of this piece.

Fortune magazine termed direct selling (of which network marketing is the main sector) "the best kept secret in the business world." It has grown by 91% in the previous ten years, with annual revenues exceeding $30 billion in the United States and $100 billion globally. According to financial analysts, it is a "recession-proof" sector. Billionaire Warren Buffet declared his purchase of a network marketing firm the finest investment he'd ever made. In Search of Excellence author Tom Peters describes it as the first really significant shift in marketing in the previous 50 years.

Why is Network Marketing so popular?

The major reason why so many individuals are getting into network marketing is that it fits nicely with current marketing trends. If you haven't already guessed, the baby boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964) are in charge. The internet is the last reason why so many individuals of all ages are interested in network marketing. To be successful, a company owner must create a broad network of individuals who purchase and sell products/services and attract others to do the same. Network marketers may now establish national and international enterprises from the comfort of their own homes thanks to the internet. There will be no more early morning alarms or high-stress commutes; all work may be done from a bedroom equipped with a computer and a phone.

People may now work from home and establish a major worldwide business in a matter of months or years, thanks to the internet. The money from this firm will ensure their financial security and provide them more free time to enjoy life to the fullest. The best aspect is that it is doable by everyone.
