Your CRITTER BRAIN and yes we all have

How many know what the critter brain is and what it does to us. Imagine yourself being faced with an angry lion what is your first impulse to do, it is to run and that is because that which is called our critter brain senses danger and tells us to get out of there.  

When we are presented with a business opportunity, no matter how much we think we can do it, or how much we may want to do it, our critter brain may tell us NO don’t do it. We then try to justify it and convince ourselves it would be right for us and that we can make it work.

The same goes for people you approach about your business, their critter brain kicks in and says get out of there, don’t have anything to do with this, it’s a scam and the excuses go on and on as to why they should have nothing to do with you and or your business or products.

How many of you know how to respond to the comment “oh it is nothing more than a pyramid scheme” the best response is “do you work for a large company or corporation”? when they say yes then ask “can you move up the ladder of success without proving yourself and or someone moving from the positions above you so there is room for you” and their answer is “of course not”. You then immediately tell them that is a pyramid in other words people have to move out of the way to make room for someone to move up.

Explain to people that you and your company is a mini franchise just as McDonald’s is and ask them if they buy at McDonalds because it is a franchise so why not buy from a smaller franchise as they do from a large one.

We have to remember we are just as important in the business world as Walmart, the grocery stores, car dealers and McDonalds, as we each have something to bring to the public. Look at yourself as the summer veggie marketer, does he think he is less important than the nearest grocery store of course not but he does know he has to have something people want and present it in a way that gets their attention and causes them to buy.

So never let your critter brain tell you know you can’t be as good or as big as Walmart, as it is how badly do you want to make what you have work and be noticed.

Also remember a client or customer may be fighting their critter brain and it is up to you to calm them down and see that they can also do what you are doing and take it to where ever they want to go or as big as they want it to be.
