AGONY OF THE SOUL

THE AGONY

The waters of my soul are calling on me 

to respond and not fight it 

No one else is on this journey with me

Therefore I must walk alone and not include anyone no matter how difficult the path maybe

I will walk with certainty, confidence, and presence

Because the darker it gets the lighter it becomes and thus, I understand I was never unaccompanied"


The word "agony" is related to the soul in many ways:


THE THINGS WE FEEL

What we feel in a day can't be numbered yet we go through them, though sometimes we avoid or ignore them.


THE THINGS WE TOUCH AND SEE 

We watch things on the movies, TV, games, social media, etc, we do not want to watch because of the circumstances around us. These things may or may not cause mental suffering to us. We can also experience mental suffering physically through our daily activities, sports, work or by accident.



 BELIEVE

The word ''belief'' is said to mean a thing that one accepts as true or real. For me, belief is a thought one thinks continuously.

Before it becomes a belief one will have to create it by thinking it into being. Though the things we believe might not be seen physically our soul feels it; it does not only feel it but touches it. Here It might not be seen with the physical eyes but it can't be ignored. Yes! Because at this point it's shown in our actions and what we speak. 


If what we watch or see outside us makes us feel and act in a certain way then the feelings we experience have already existed since the soul is always existing and never dies. Therefore we can say our memories are buried deep within the subconscious, the subconscious can be described as waters because of the immeasurable depth. All of the thoughts and feelings that one is not conscious of are all saved here. When we become aware of these thoughts and feelings then we become conscious but when not aware then they unconsciously affect our actions.

In order to stay balanced, we must be keen to feel and appreciate our pain as much as we appreciate our glory. We should not turn away from it. The act of feeling sorry for our self and putting blame on others does not only keeps us from moving ahead but also keeps us in the same misery because every shame, pain, fear, anger, sorrow, joy, love, happiness, peace and everything else we feel are very important to us. This is what makes us open to love thereby allowing light to shine on every darkness.


"Stay open to love for the agony we feel through the events in our lives don't just happen, they already existed and can never be more powerful than we are. They are just shadows that need to be brought to light".
