My story:
My husband was just 30 when he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Upon being discharged from the hospital he was given a Lifevest Defibrillator. I was thrilled but knowing his heart was frail left a lingering fear in my mind. Anything could happen at any given time. What if something stressed him out? What if he forgot to take his medication? What if there were warning signs but he chose to ignore them?
I recently discovered this innovative wearable technology that monitors high blood pressure (which caused his congestive heart failure to begin with), heart rate while also having the capability of performing an ECG. I could monitor my husband’s health in the palm of my hands. If he was stressed I could reach out to him. If a reading was elevated I could follow-up with him to ensure everything was ok and of course to ensure he didn’t forget to take his medication. We could assess his situation together and determine if we should seek medical attention should warnings arise.
