Using Postcards to Grow Your MLM Business
There is one marketing strategy ANYONE can do to grow their MLM Business. What is that one thing? POSTCARDS!
Postcards... in a digital world.
Lick a stamp, put it on your postcard, and mail it out. Simple. Easy. Duplicatable. Anyone can do it! Even grandpa.
This has been one of my primary marketing strategies for nearly 10-years, even though most people think I only build my business online.
If I had to choose, I would pick direct mail over online marketing ANY day of the week. I'm already scaling down my online marketing efforts to focus more on postcards, because it is cheaper, more effective, and takes a whole lot less time!
Because most people are obsessed with promoting their business on the internet, direct mail has become even more effective. Less people are using direct mail, which creates a great opportunity for you.
Heck, direct mail has been around more than 100 years, while the internet is still in its infancy. Postcard marketing is proven. It works!
Even big companies like Amazon, eBay and Wal-mart use postcards! If they're doing it, you should at least consider it.
You just create a simple, cheap, UGLY postcard on bright yellow or bright pink card stock with your offer on it, and mail it. No graphics and no pretty images.
Just a headline, a list of benefits and a strong call to action. Short and sweet and to the point.
This is where most people mess up. They think the LOOK of their postcard is more important than the message. It's not. Make it ugly with no graphics and use good copy-writing.
You determine your target market, buy a mailing list, get your stamps and mail out your postcards. People get your postcards in the mail and they actually LOOK AT IT. They read your message and visit your website or call you. Wow!
Compared to email and online marketing, that is like a breath of fresh air.
Why does this happen? Because most people ENJOY getting their mail each day. They actually look through their mail and sort it. In addition, they don't get many postcard offers promoting a MLM Business.
Think about it for a moment. How many home-business themed postcards have you received this week, this month, this year?
I get pitched 50-100 times per day online, but I only get 3-4 postcards in the mail per month. If you want my attention, send me a postcard. Chances are, your prospect feels the same way, too.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Chuck, postcards are expensive. I can't afford them.
I personally disagree. I currently pay 35 cents for a stamp, 2 cents for a postcard and about 8 cents per lead. My cost is around 45 cents per postcard.
That means I can mail 1,000 postcards for around $450. I think that's a great deal. When I do online marketing, I pay around the same amount of money for 1,000 clicks to my website.
The biggest difference between postcard marketing and online marketing is that postcards have a longer shelf life. People keep them. They look at it a few times. They actually visit your website or call your sizzle call number.
Not so with internet marketing. Internet marketing has a short shelf-life.
Postcards work. They have worked for many years.
