What happened to Jan and Craig?

Meet Jan and Craig. They are married, both in their 40’s. They’ve got two teenage children.

A few months ago:

Craig is a top manager in finance. He’s got a very stressful job. He only works out occasionally. When he gets home he sits down trying to unwind, eats his big dinner (mostly the only meal of the day). He feels tired constantly. He thinks it’s because of the lack of sleep and the long working hours. He doesn’t sleep well, takes ages to fall asleep and it is extremely hard to get up in the morning. Especially in the winter when it’s so dark in the morning. He just can’t find the time to work out either because when he finishes work he rather goes home to his family and it’s late anyway plus he’s exhausted. A lovely large dinner is also more attractive than sweating in the gym. No way he could get up even earlier in the morning to work out either. As a result, he’s put on some weight. Not too bad but he realised it’s gradually adding up. The worst is though that he’s impatient with his children and his wife despite of not seeing them much. He also seems to have hay fever all the time. He’s fed up with his constantly running nose. Kind of spoils the fun.

Jan is a typical modern 3-in-1 woman; mum, wife and hard worker. She works at a bank, she worked hard to get to mid-management level. She juggles with keeping the house tidy, looking after the kids, doing her best at work, make sure the family is fed and the list goes on. She’s tired all the time. She joined the gym but keeps missing those Pilates classes. She has a quick bowl of cereals for breakfast, grabs an even quicker lunch and eats it at her desk at work in front of the computer. She tends to make one of the same 5 meals for dinner because she hasn’t got the time to research and then source properly healthy meal recipes. She often feels bloated and she wishes she could find the time to work out because she thinks that would help. Her patience level is not great either, she’s often stressed and feeling down, just seeing every problem bigger than they actually are.

Meet Jan and Craig now

They both sleep well at night and jump out of bed in the morning. 3 times a week they start the day at the gym or just go for a half an hour run in the neighbourhood. They smile much more and have patience with each other and with their children which means more quality family time. Craig’s hay fever drastically improved, no running nose anymore! They both are more efficient at work. It probably helps that they are more balanced, more open to their colleagues and just simply get more done as a team. Craig helps out more at home which makes Jan very happy. They have big plans, the fog lifted now they are looking forward to the future as a family. They both lost a few pounds, while not starving at all. Jan’s got a flat tummy first time since she had the kids. That horrible painful bloated feeling is gone. She feels sexy and that didn’t go unnoticed by Craig either.

So what happened to Jan and Craig?

They jumped in and participated the 30 days to healthy living programme. It wasn’t just about taking food supplements. It was their guided tour to healthy living.

They got:

• A nutrition pack full of goodies

• Invite to a closed Facebook support group with priceless advice on meals, work out, healthy snack ideas, etc

What did they need to do:

• Follow the experts’ advice and cut out certain food groups like dairy, sugar, gluten, alcohol

• Eat healthy meals

• Do regular exercise

Is it something that might interest you?

First they both were sceptical. They thought how is this different to doing it on their own? They ought to be able to get all the right stuff from their food so thought they could just change their diet.

However soon their realised that they are too exhausted to keep up with it. They didn’t know what meals to cook, it was just too time consuming and complicated. They didn’t get any support, they were on their own. And they still couldn’t find the time to exercise.

Why is participating a programme so beneficial that it made them able to change their lifestyle?

They didn’t need to even think about two meals per day – breakfast and lunch was done in a Nutra bullet in the space of seconds if they chose to replace to meals.

They had everything in the pack their body needed to process and get rid of the toxic stuff they accumulated over the years

They had a great community supporting them, someone to talk to along the journey, experts to answer their questions, meal and snack ideas and recipes, shopping list and most importantly fun.

So what happens after the first 30 days? Does it mean they will have to do the programme again and again to stay healthy?

Absolutely not. The programme helps to do a big clean up in the body. Imagine a bath tub. The tap is on, water filling up the bath. The water from the tap is flowing faster than it can drain therefore after a while the water would overflow. It’s the same with everything we put into our bodies. The human body is amazing. There is a well-designed mechanism to ensure nothing toxic stays in. However, the more toxins the body has to deal with it might become a struggle after a while because it can’t keep up with the inflow. Toxins are stored in fat cells. Those few extra pounds creeping up… Sounds familiar? Our body starts to struggle. We feel down a lot or have mood swings. Like a fog settled on our mind. We are exhausted yet can’t sleep. We feel tired all the time. We are impatient, we seem to get every blooming cold. We get ill all the time. Then we recover slower. Because our body can’t concentrate on normal daily activities because its priority is to keep us toxin free.

When you do the programme you essentially turn off the tap (via cutting out certain foods) and help the body to process the existing toxins quicker. And that’s when the magic happens you suddenly feel different. You have more energy, you sleep like a log, you jump out of the bed in the morning, the bloating is gone, your nose is not running, pounds are melting off you and most importantly you feel happy.

Experts say if you do something consistently for at least 21 days it will become a habit. By the time you’re done with the programme, your habits will have changed. You would not be craving sugar anymore and you would have different appreciation for healthy food and will not want to go back to the old bad habits. It doesn’t mean that you can never have a slice of cake or a glass of wine ever in again in your life. But if you maintain a healthy 80-20% ratio (20% being the naughty things), you’ll find that you’ll be able to maintain a healthy living with great habits and will never look back.
