In your 20,s the world seemed full of opportunity and excitement , then slowly we settled down start growing our families have a motgage and credit cards and unfortunately we all spend what income we earn . with a slight change of mindset we can turn this around by just simply putting a financial plan in place , the 70 10,10,10 rule is amazing, start to put a side in 10 % of your income to save , 10% to invest 10% to charity and spend the 70% you may say i need 100% at the moment , but you can start with a small amount its creating a new habbit that will grow over time. the difference between succesful people and the rest is they know to save and invest first then spend whats left what most people do is spend first then try and save whats left which isn't usually anything.  , do it at source so its saved before you spend it . The development of a new habbit can start you whole life in a new dirrection ,if you have wanted to loose weight , get fitter develop, a relationship or get you financies under control its all about creating new habbits toacheive this .The habbits of your last 6 months to a year have given you exactley what you have today so if you want something different in the future you need to start creating new habbits that will change your future and it can be as simple as eating an apple a day instaed of a piece of cake , the secret of successful people is they have changed a few bad habbits repeated every day for years to a few new disciplines repeated  every day , going for a walk instead of sitting, drinking flavoured water instead of pop , reaching out to people instead of locking themselves away, just smiling to one person a day is an amzing habbit as they  nearly always smile back , saving that money from a takeaway instead of spending it , there are so many little steps we can take to change our entire lives which is easy to do , the only problem is its also easy not to do , so you have to make that descision yourself we are all self made it is only the successful ones who admit it.
