BE FINANCIALLY INTELLIGENT

Damn!!

I smile when I see these kind of statement. Now, don't get me wrong! I love education, I value academic education. I even graduated with a good Second Class in my B.Tech (many of my Facebook friends can testify to that).

The problem I find with academic education is that it only prepares you to become a high paid employe of perhaps a person who never went to high school...Just like 50 cent. Or someone who never graduated from college just like Mark Zuckerberg.

While studying your courses in school, remember to add financial education to your studies, so that you don't end up like so many graduates today who finished years ago but are yet employed or under-employed. Let me tell you the stone cold truth: If you passed through 16years in academics, finished with a B.Sc or B.A, have worked for 6 years now and still paid below at least $3000 as monthly salary, my guy, you are underpaid. And if you have an MBA attached to that and still earn below at least $8,000 a month, you are underpaid.

Yet I believe that the greatest generation of entrepreneurs would be people who passed through academic education as well as financial education! Let your education become your advantage in the world of money, not your disadvantaged.

Perhaps it's time you looked at your financials, think about your rat race in the employee Quadrant and start making changes to move from been an employee to a business owner. It begins with the mindset.... If you cannot change your mindset of a steady income, job security and salary, it would be difficult to succeed financially. At the end of the day three things must happen to you: Retirement, Retrenchment or Resignation. Where so you start from when you are 65 years old with only $2000 pension or $30,000 gratuity??

Work the hell out of hell. Better burn than rust.Believe in something... Fight till death. You must put up a fight before a miracle happens. Nothing for nothing.

Peter started with strong faith and walked on the see towards the Savior (your dreams). But when obstacle struck, fear set in and Almighty Peter started sinking.

Just as he was about to drawn, he raised up his hands, called on his master to save him. And His master lower down and caught hold of Peter's hand and lifted him up again...

Best advice you've got- do like Peter!
