Why gold? Why not gold?!!

Have you ever wondered why everyday purchases like bread, meat, cheese are more then what they was back in the day? Even everyday things like rent have went up enormously in a vast amount of big cities as well. Even right up to high end purchases like buying a car or a house has skyrocketed over the last 50 years. Why is that? The answer is inflation. It is because of inflation that a lot of these prices have jumped leaps and bounds while the average joe's income has either stayed the same or in a some occupations the salaries have gone down. A sound way to protect any savings long term is by swapping paper money into a gold savings account. Gold has been around for the last 5,000 years including 2,800 years as a source of payment for goods and services and for protection against the devaluation of the dollar. What was the reason that every facet of life that requires money has changed? This all started back in 1971 the United States was removed from the gold standard. For anyone and everyone that thinks and in some cases says daily I remember when this or this use to cost this and now it cost this, well there was a brief history lesson for you, lol. I know a lot of people still think that gold is to expensive to purchase, thus impossible to accumulate even a gram. Believing only rich people can buy gold.
