Stick with a Good Company

I suppose to many I was living the ideal life. Owned a fabulous home, had a mobile home and motor cruiser on the lakes. I drove a top spec Mercedes and my wife drove a Mini Cooper S. We could holiday when we wanted to in exotic locations.

Then the 2008/09 recession hit and my property business collapsed, with the money now gone my wife went too. Getting over a nasty separation and the loss of $3.5 million was hard on my self esteem. I really didn't know if I could keep going and yes on more than one occasion I even contemplated taking my own life.

So what does a near 60 year old with no qualifications and little cash do?

Well I remembered Bill Clinton and Barack Obama , yep even Donald Trump had all said network marketing was a good way to earn extra income. But with so many businesses out there how do you know what's genuine and what's a fake opportunity?

So I joined what I thought would be a very good business to promote to family and friends. I wasn't interested in lotions, potions and juices so I turned to discounted shopping. Recruiting proved harder than I had imagined. When I decided to meet a top leader from the business for tips I discovered he had another and probably better business so I turned to another company. This time encouraging people to save pure gold.

I found this was received better and soon had built a decent enough team to get a trip to the company event in Las Vegas. The aim though was to get people to exchange cash for gold every month with a gold savings plan and this was very challenging.

So when my introducer moved to another company based on social media and advertising I moved too. We had meetings around the country and online and the team grew and the monthly income increased. Then after 3 years BOOM the company stopped paying out to clients and promoters. No communication and no money coming so what do I do now?

Well luckily the gold business was still going strong in over 120 countries and many people were actually saving gold. So I created a new website to encourage visitors to exchange cash for gold. The company has really grown in the years I was away and now has a range of pure gold savings plans plus a gold backed crypto coin.

On hindsight taking my focus to another company was probably a mistake, but then if the Covid-19 virus had not hit would people be so interested in pure gold?
