What Network Marketing DOES NOT INCLUDE?
There are several misunderstandings floating around about what network marketing is and is not. Let us take a moment to define what network marketing is NOT.
Network marketing is NOT a fraudulent pyramid scam.
In any case, pyramid scams and network marketing are not the same thing. Network marketing is not illegal, but pyramid schemes are. Pyramid schemes are illicit financial engines in which no goods or services are offered. Pyramid schemes are simply opportunities to transfer money from one person to another.
Network marketing, on the other hand, is a lawful business strategy in which genuine and legal items and services are delivered to enormous networks of clients.
Network marketing is NOT a quick method to get money.
Although some network marketing possibilities may be advertised with a get in now and be rich in 5 minutes sort of hype, this never happens. If you've ever heard of someone jumping into a network marketing opportunity and experiencing instant success, it's because they had some kind of prior experience that prepared them for that accomplishment. In typically, it takes 5 to 7 years of dedicated business growth to earn the big checks that so many of us crave. If you want to get rich, network marketing will undoubtedly help you do it, but it won't happen as quickly as you believe.
Network marketing IS NOT ONLY FOR SALESPERSONS.
Some individuals may mistakenly feel that network marketing is only for salesmen, however this is completely incorrect. Previously, network marketing was mostly a salesperson's game; but, with the introduction of the internet and automated marketing systems, the system now conducts the selling. All a new network marketer needs to do is attract leads into their system and then educate their downline how to do the same. Nowadays, network marketing is more of a screening process.
Network marketing is NOT for the lazy.
Many individuals enter network marketing thinking that all they have to do is locate a couple of people and then sit back and watch the money roll in. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you ever meet someone who is incredibly successful at network marketing, you will quickly realize that they are some of the most hardworking individuals you will ever meet.
It takes a lot of effort to succeed in network marketing. A lot of labor for what appears to be very little benefit at first. To fully succeed in network marketing, you must work hard to get your opportunity in front of as many people as possible. You may work a bit less when the large checks start pouring in, but you have to work really hard to acquire those huge residual checks.
That's all. I hope I was able to clear up some confusion for you.
