These two giants hire people to understand and time the market.
They realize timing is everything and it has a lot to do with their earnings.
The timing for store changes from fashion to fashion and season to season.
The stores have to have good timing and they have had that's why the two are battling it out.
Amazon has Prime and free shipping Walmart has Jet an on-line site they bought and now there competing with Amazon with on-time shipping.There just knocking each other out but hey that's good for us right as shoppers. Did you know that stores actually time sales around the days when there are more people traveling or even they time sales locally to the day large manufacturing pay their people really on the day they get paid?
To say that timing is everything is to look at the stock market if you are an investor you know full well that timing is everything.The investor really gets nervous when the timing of the market is thrown off.They simply lose money and sometimes it is a lot been there done that.
