Have you almost given up on your business?

I've never met a single person who made it big with their first business... online or off.

So many people fail so much of the time that it's become a new "good" thing.

Fail fast, fail often.

The way to succeed is to fail more than everyone else.

Yada, yada, yada.

I for one would like to dwell more on stuff that works than stuff that doesn't.

Who wants to learn 93 more ways to screw something up?

Not me.

But I still went through the same process.

Opportunity after opportunity for years.

I learned a lot along the way, but it was expensive... and painful.

You'd think with all the new whiz-bang tools out there more people would find it easy to make things work.

I haven't seen it.

The basics are still what trips most new biz owners up.

The whole thing makes me think of Ikea.

It's a furniture store that sells kits for furniture.

When you buy a table or - or some other item to cram into your already overcrowded house - it comes in a box.

With a handy plan to show you how to put it together.

Whatever you buy looks soooo nice in the store.

The lighting is perfect, it's in a space with things to make it look nice and you can easily picture it in your home.

That's the illusion.

The reality sets in as soon as you try to tie the dang thing down on the roof of your KIA.

If it doesn't fly off the roof on your way home, the next obstacle is wrestling that big box through your front door.

It looked a lot easier when you were watching the friendly Ikea people toss it up on your car.

Once inside, you cut open the box and locate the instructions.

Then you look for all the tools you'll need.

About an hour in, you start wishing you'd bought a table that came in one piece.

It's the same situation with a new online business.

Even the ones that have lots of the techy details done for you.

You'll still have to put in some time and effort to put the thing together so it works for you.

But that's not all.

There are a thousand little things that you might not know.

Things like... 

Is it better to sell a cheap product or a pricey one?

How will you get traffic to your site?

Where will your customers come from?

What type of paid traffic should you use?

And so on.
